Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 239

Sean, accustomed to observing Brad's moods, had quickly learned to read the room.

Even though Jean's words over the phone weren't particularly insulting, to the sensitive Sean, they felt deeply hurtful.

He had complained to Brad, hoping Brad would punish Jean. But instead, Brad defended her, leaving Sean feeling even more upset.

As Sean struggled to get down from Brad's arms, he glared at him and said, "Mommy said you were blind, and I thought she was wrong. But now, I see she was right. You're not just blind. You're not very smart either!"

If Brad wasn't blind or foolish, how could he ever think Jean was a good person? Sean was angry now and didn't want Brad anymore.

Brad, already simmering with anger, had planned to use Sean to manipulate Nadine. Now, with both Nadine and Sean defying him, he was livid.

"Sean Hamilton! Behave yourself!" Brad shouted. "What bad woman? From now on, I don't want to hear those words from you again. Take it back!"

To Brad, Jean was his first love, a beacon of perfection. How could there ever be a flaw in her? Even if Jean did say something to Sean, it had to be his fault. If he hadn't provoked her, would she have scolded him?

Sean was so young, yet he was already as stubborn as Nadine. Brad thought it was time to teach him a lesson. He believed that if he used a stern tone and a dark expression, he could scare Sean into never speaking ill of Jean again.
