Nadine was still reeling from the shock of everything that had happened that night. Brad, who was always high and mighty, had just told her that he could give up on Jean for her.
There was a time when all she ever wanted was for Brad to stay away from Jean and focus on building a life with her. Even if love wasn't part of the equation, she thought their connection alone would be enough to keep them together for a lifetime.
However, as soon as she heard Brad say he could give up on Jean, her mind became crystal clear. Brad was head over heels for Jeanāthere was no way he could turn his back on her.
Nadine had been too stunned to react, and her mind went blank. But now, she had finally come to her senses.
As expected, a leopard never changes its spots. She hadn't done anything, yet Brad had already labeled her a cheater. The nerve of him! He was the real cheater here, yet he still had the gall to point fingers at her.
In an instant, her temper flared. Nadine started smacking Brad's hand, her words coming out in rapid-fire. "You've just made me realize how intelligent I am. It's obvious you're not just visually impaired but also intellectually challenged! You make so much money, why can't you afford to see a neurologist?
"I hate to break it to you, but your brain's playing tricks on you. You think you're always right, which is straight-up hysteria! You're unwell, and I seriously suggest you get it treated while you're still young. If you don't, you're going to find yourself in murky waters one day!"
Had she been too soft on him? Had that given Brad the impression that she was easy to mess with? If she could reach him, she would've clawed his face off. The nerve of him!
Tyler couldn't help but chuckle as he stood outside the hospital room, watching the two of them go at it and listening to Nadine give Brad a piece of her mind. He then walked over to the door and gave Nadine a round of applause.
