Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 137

"Let go of me, let go of me."

Adelaide tried to throw his hand away with all her strength, but he did not let go at all.

Standing aside, Calvin tried to persuade him, but he was not swayed at all and continued to pull Adelaide forward. At this moment, he was already on the edge of rage. If Calvin was still inconsiderate and dared to speak for her, he would beat him although he did not beat woman.

She knew Antonio's nature very well and was afraid that it would get him into trouble. Seeing that he still wanted to argue with him, she hurriedly shouted at Calvin, "Dr. Calvin, you don't have to worry about me. Don't follow."

Hearing that, Calvin stopped. He looked at them at daggers drawn, understanding why Antonio was so angry. He wanted to help out of kindness, but possibly ending up making things worse. He clenched his fists and watched Antonio take her away by half dragging, but there was nothing he could do about it.

With previous experience, Antonio also dared not push her into the car. After she got on the car on her own, he vigorously closed the door of the car to vent his anger. Then he got into the co-pilot seat and asked the driver to start the car in deep voice.

The driver started the car slowly. The atmosphere was extremely strange. Antonio kept silent and Adelaide also leaned her head against the window without saying a word, causing Bruno, who didn't know what had happened, to be worried all the way.

When they returned home, he rudely pulled Adelaide out of the car again and kicked the door of their home open, "Don't follow us." Worrying that Damla would follow and overheard their conversation, Antonio turned around and looked at her to warn her.

After they returned to their room, they stared at each other, but didn't talk. It was still too early to sleep. She sat on the bed, took out her smartphone and read the news. The longer he looked at her, the angrier he became. He knocked over her smartphone and couldn't help taking hold of her neck with his hands.

Adelaide didn't notice that the anger flared in his eyes until this moment. He looked like as if he wanted to kill her. Seeing that, she couldn't help shivering. Soon she couldn't breathe smoothly and her face turned red. She stared at Antonio stubbornly, neither begging for his mercy nor swearing at him.

Finally, Antonio lost his patience first and pinched her harder, "I really want to strangle you."

"Then, strangle me!" Adelaide coughed and said word by word. She stared at him with determination in her eyes and suddenly felt very happy when seeing the expression in his eyes.

Antonio paused for a while, let go of her and then threw her onto the bed. What amazed him most was that Adelaide dared to meet Calvin in private. He knew that his warning did not work for her now.

He squinted his eyes, looking dangerous. He touched his chin, looked down at her and said in cold voice, "I only say it once. If I find that you meet Calvin again, there will be no room for him in J City."

Threatening Calvin was the most direct and effective way. Sure enough, Adelaide sat up quickly and glared at him with her eyes wider open, "You're despicable."

"You can only blame your lover for not being as good as I am." Antonio laughed heartily. He looked like a triumphant villain who had achieved his aim, at least looking like this in Adelaide's eyes.

At this point, the relationship between them reached the lowest point.

Antonio was very satisfied with her reaction and left with a light step before he failed to hide his real emotion. He was Mr. Antonio. When was he reduced to threatening her to prevent her from meeting her "lover"? He laughed at himself and strode outside.

Antonio was a crazy fellow who always kept his word. Adelaide wondered, he had acquired his parents' company quietly; considering that Calvin was but a psychiatrist, he could definitely make it if he really let someone suppress Calvin. She remembered that the psychological consultation room belonged to the Quin Group and it was easy for him to drive Calvin away because of his relationship with Jerry.

For the first time, Adelaide felt remorse for her incompetence. Her friend couldn't associate with her because he wasn't as capable as Antonio...not capable? Capable?
