Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 21

When Adelaide's heart started to beat more and more quickly, Antonio suddenly let her go and snorted, "You're too slow. Reflect on yourself."

With that, he left the study room before Adelaide could react.

Adelaide, who recovered from surprise, was sure that she had been fooled. She was so angry. But no one saw it. She gnashed the teeth in anger and said, "Antonio!"

As she was about to rush down to get even with Antonio, the doorbell rang.

"Ivy, why are you here?"

Adelaide went downstairs and didn't see Antonio. She heard the doorbell ring and immediately went to open the door. Unexpectedly, it was Ivy who had been serving Hermosa.

Ivy raised the bag in her hand and looked at Adelaide with a smile, "Ms. Adelaide, Ms. Hermosa saw that you didn't have a suitable dress a few days ago. So, she specially asked me to send it to you. You can try on it first. If it's not suitable, I will ask someone to change it."

Hearing this, Adelaide felt warm. Since her mother died, although she was a lady in the Swift family, she did not get the attention of her family. Even though she married Antonio, she had never felt like this.

Hermosa loved her as if she were her granddaughter. Adelaide didn't know if it was because of her pregnancy. Now, she was not only sentimental, but also tearful.

Ivy was the nurse chosen by Hermosa. She was careful and considerate. Seeing that Adelaide's eyes were red, she caressed her head gently like a baby, "Ms. Adelaide, a woman is always sentimental when she is pregnant. Go and try on the dress. I'm waiting for your reply."

Adelaide nodded. Antonio suddenly appeared behind her like a ghost. Adelaide just had looked around but did not see him. Now, he appeared on his own.

Adelaide did not intend to talk to him. But Antonio heard their conversation and sneered, "How arrogant you are. You even ask Ivy to send you clothes in person. Others may think that I, Antonio, have abused my wife!"

Adelaide didn't realize the jealousy in his words. She frowned and took Ivy's arm, talking and laughing upstairs, as if she didn't see Antonio.

"Hey, how dare you ignore me!" there was a trace of jealousy in his words.

Even though Adelaide had expected that he would taunt her, she was also shocked by his words. She got goose bumps and shook. She hypnotized herself and thought to herself, "I misheard. I must have misheard." No wonder that Adelaide was so shocked. In her impression, Antonio either yelled at her angrily, or mocked her sourly, or put on a long face without speaking.

He was seldom even affable to her. How could he be jealous? It was jealousy, right? He was like an aggrieved woman when he spoke just now.

Adelaide returned to the room. The white dress suited her perfectly. She didn't expect her grandmother would know her size. Adelaide was moved again. She talked to Ivy for a while and then sent her away with reluctance.

Time flied. Antonio was good-tempered and didn't bother Adelaide recently. They had respected each other like guests for three days.

It was getting dark and the moon was rising. Their way forward was lit by many stars. Adelaide was wearing the white dress made for her by Hermosa and took the arm of Antonio, who was in a suit and leather shoes.

They did not say a word but all smiled slightly.

They were a good match at a glance.

The door of the villa was open. Perhaps because relatives had not yet come together, Hermosa was sitting on the sofa in the hall, constantly asking whether Adelaide had come.
