Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 64

Which added to her anger, and she slapped Adelaide again in her face. Watching Adelaide’s red and swollen cheeks, Flora felt satisfied and went back to her daughter.

Clarissa was so exasperated that she rolled up her sleeves and was about to beat Adelaide. Adelaide had no choice but to shouted, “Watch out for your baby. Your Antonio will be worried if you get hurt.”

Her reminder soothed Clarissa, and she boasted, “Just so you know that, sooner or later, Antonio belongs with me.”

“Really? And the credit will be given to your fake pregnancy?” she stared at her belly acrimoniously. She never touched her belly, but she was sure that Clarissa wouldn’t cram a pillow into her clothes.

Instead of being angry, Clarissa smiled. “So what? Even if you tell him the truth that I don’t get pregnant, never will he believe you.” She had planned to tell Antonio that she got an accidental abortion if he found she wasn’t pregnant. All she wanted is to see Adelaide to have an abortion.

Even if Adelaide successfully delivered a baby, she’d exchange their babies, after all, they have the same due date.

Without Antonio’s babies, it would be easy to kick her out of the Baron family. Of course, Clarissa was too proud to raise Adelaide’s baby unless she was backed into corner.

Clarissa’s confession scared Flora to death. After a squeal, she hastily tugged her clothes to signatured her to shut up. But her daughter directly pulled Flora’s hands away. “Mom, aren’t you too timid. She can do nothing with the truth.”

Then they both laughed at Adelaide as they both thought so.

At the moment, the door was pushed open by Koby. Shaking his phone in his hand, he asked the two happy women with a smile, “Are you sure? Even if my boss doesn’t believe his wife’s words, he will definitely believe the recording. Right?”

Clarissa and Flora’s faces darkened. The blame was on themselves as they were too exhilarated to notice Koby standing outside the ward.

Pretending to be calm, Clarissa stammered, “Bull, bull, bullshit! How, how, how dare you!” Eyes widening, she took a deep breath. “If you gave him the recording, I’ll tell him you fornicate with the bitch and that you two set me up.”

Koby wasn’t in the mood for an argue. “Get the fucking out of here before I send it to my boss!”

“You, you won’t get away with it.”

Then they scurried away as soon as possible.

Adelaide anxiously glanced over him, wondering what he was up to.

Koby noticed her expression and smiled. “Are you wondering if I have the recording?”

Her eyes widened and she rubbed her forehead to cover her embarrassment. Clarissa and her mother were too guilty to see him through, but she’s sane enough to be aware of his lie.

Koby bit his lips and whispered into her ear, “No recording.”

Adelaide was surprised to find that as honest as Koby was, he could tell a lie.

He flashed a sly smile and rubbed his nose. “Mrs. Baron, if you get bullied by them again, threaten them that you’ve copied the recording.”
