Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 76

Since Adelaide wasn’t on alert, Clarissa purposely appointed with her at the café near Adelaide’s home on the certain day she had chosen.

Adelaide wanted to refused her but she mentioned Koby, so Adelaide had to meet her.

It was chill outside. Adelaide felt colder as she was pregnant and stay weak.

Damla called a taxi for her. The driver turned on the air-conditioner as he found Adelaide looked weak and pale.

Shivering with cold, she got off the taxi with the help of Damla. She was dumbfounded as she noticed Clarissa also got the café.

“Let’s talk about Koby.”

Adelaide asked her as soon as they sat down.

Clarissa crossed her legs, ignoring the question.

With a hint of annoyance in her eyes, Adelaide frowned and asked again. Clarissa still kept silent.

“Damla, I want Cappuccino, please.”

Then Clarissa broke the silence and smiled at Damla.

Adelaide knew Clarissa purposely asked Damla away. “What do you want to tell me?” If Clarissa didn’t talk to her, she’d leave immediately.

An unassuming smile curved her lips as she pressed her back against the sofa comfortably. She looked at the outside and asked, “Do you know what I can see from here?”

Adelaide was dumbfounded but nodded. She loved this spot as she could see Antonio’s office from here. The special glass of his office could allow him to look at the outside clearly, but people outside couldn’t see the inside.

She talked about Koby in the way as usual as talking about the weather. “Actually, I…I didn’t hate Koby. It was just because he knew my secrets.”

Clarissa purposely exasperated Adelaide. As she had expected, Adelaide couldn’t suppress her anger as she clenched her fists tight and gritted her eyes, bellowing, “He just bluffed to scare you. If you hadn’t been guilty, you wouldn’t have been so terrified as to kill him.”

Then Clarissa continued, “How pathetic he was! It was you who made him lose his life.”

“You!”

Adelaide was too angry to say anything.
