“Mrs. Marwood, you won’t tell anyone, right? Mr. Marwood is going to kill me if he finds out,” Mia said.

Even though Anne felt like her heart was being torn apart, she still worried for Mia’s safety and said gently, “I won’t. You are the only one who would tell me this here. Thank you.”

“I didn’t dare to before, but I can’t stand watching how you are lied to anymore,” Mia said. “I don’t understand why Mr. Marwood would marry you if he is still in love with Ms. Faye. He’s just going to end up hurting both of you!”

Anne turned and stared off into the distance gloomily.

‘Why?‘ she thought. ‘I heard every word back in the office. Bianca was the one who forced Anthony to marry me. I had thought that Anthony had married me for the children, and it turns out that wasn’t the case…marrying me has always been a charity case for both Anthony and Bianca and it’s only a matter of time that I lose everything…
