Though she was quick to look in the direction of the aura, she couldn’t spot him at all. Just as she was about to look around, however, Ian held her wrist while saying, “Don’t go running off, Xavia. You still need to greet our grandparents, relatives, and friends.”

Upon hearing that, Xavia found herself in a dilemma. After all, there was no mistaking that icy aura! However, she couldn’t just run after him now that she knew that others were waiting for her… She had to maintain her family’s reputation, after all. With that, she helplessly bade farewell to the others and said that they’d meet up again later before following Ian to a private room… Well, one of the private rooms.

To her surprise, the Frankstons had more relatives than she had initially anticipated… All in all, there were about twenty private rooms! Then again, it only made sense for them to come over since people typically wanted to be associated with the rich. Regardless, because there were so many people, she ended up getting no breaks from seven all the way to eleven that night. It was only at half past eleven when they finally headed home…

Looking at her daughter, Yasmin couldn’t help but say, “Today was exhausting, wasn’t it, Xavia…? I find such events exhausting too, which is why I never hosted such a large party in so many years. In all honesty, I’d rather spend my birthday traveling with the three of you, but… well, we still needed to give you a proper introduction to our friends and relatives…”

She could tell that Yasmin simply didn’t want her to feel forced to do all this, and this prompted Xavia to smile as she replied, “Well… while it’s true that it was rather tiring, it was worth it. Don’t worry, it can be fixed with a warm bath. Also… Happy birthday, Mom.”

Before Yasmin could reply, Xavia revealed her gift… A set of colorful and well-knit scarves for the family! There were scarves for her parents, her brothers, kids, Zivon, and finally, herself.

Eyes widening in delight, Yasmine replied, “Where did you buy these? They look absolutely lovely!”

“I made them myself! Basically, I figured that you’d be able to buy anything you wanted, so in the end, I chose to make my own gifts,” explained Xavia, who knew that she had only neglected Zivon for those nine days because she was busy making these.

Understandably surprised to hear that, Yasmin replied, “You made these? What a skillful child!”
