at him with disdain. For now he could just swallow the insult as Damien looked at his folly

He was expelled from the family.

Entering the magnanimous glass–walled office of Maxim Enterprises I broke into nervous jitters. Although Damien tried to send me on a small vacation after knowing I was pregnant, I still refused.
