President Williams Woos His Ex-wife Again novel Chapter 28

Beth's first reaction was how was that possible!

How could Kathy Johnson choose to commit suicide. How many times this trick had been played by herself!

But When she took a look at Aaron, who was rushing to drive, and he was so anxious and burning with concern.

Beth opened his mouth, but still said nothing.

Yes, he wouldn’t believe what she said anyway.

She had to find a way to lay bare Kathy Johnson's lie to pretend to be blind so she could protect her brother.

Aaron Williams did not speak, and Beth also kept silent.

But her knee, though treated by Jessica and wrapped in gauze, was still hurt awfully with a slight movement.

Beth leaned against the chair, trembling slightly because of pain.

Soon they arrived at the hospital. Aaron Williams got out of the car and went straight to the hospital’s inpatient department.

Beth followed Aaron when she got out of the car. Because she sat too long, her legs were numb and sore. She fell on the ground directly in disarray.

Her palms were worn and the blood oozed out, and the tears accumulated at the corner of her eyes.

Beth was just about to stand up by herself.

Aaron, who walked a few steps ahead, seemed to perceive something. He paused and looked back at her on the ground.

Her tearful eyes, like reddened bubbles, burned deep into his soul.

He stood still there for a while, and after a few seconds he moved as if he had been bewitched.

He walked toward her and slowly stretched out his hand.

Beth stopped and raised her head little by little, looking at the suddenly outstretched hand in front of her.

The sun was shining on his palm. His fingers were white and long, and his fingers’ bones were distinct.

It was too close so she could see the lines of his palm clearly.

She wondered if it was her illusion.

Aaron hated her so much, so how could he suddenly reach out to help her?

‘This must be an illusion, right?’

He would not love her forever.

She raised her hand quiveringly, trying to grasp the palm of his hand.

It was tenderness at hand.

She couldn't refuse.

She was just able to grasp, but Aaron suddenly took back his hand and thought that he was enthralled by a ghost.

He must have been bewitched by her. Whether she live or die had anything to do with him. She lied to him so many times and took advantage of him for so long that he wouldn't be soft-hearted to her.

Aaron kept silent, quickly retracted his eyes, and left. He turned too quickly, and his pace was fast, even with a touch of disarray. He was afraid.

Beth was very disappointed, and in a moment, huge panic and loss spread to every corner of her heart.

She laughed with self-deprecation, and the tears in her eyes dried up.

She knew she couldn't hold any hope for Aaron Williams.

How could she match a person like him?

Beth struggled on her own and got up from the ground.

Her elbow broke the skin and the wound on her knee split open, staining the gauze red.

She was about to catch up with Aaron when her phone rang again.

“Hello, is it Jacky Taylor's family? Someone has bailed him out. You can come to the police station to pick him up.”

A strange call and a strange voice.

She was ecstatic when she heard the good news. Her young brother finally came out!

She quickly thanked the man and turned and ran to the side of the road.

She's going to the police station now.

She hurried to the police station, and when she saw Jacky, her tears poured out uncontrollably.

“Sis...” Jacky called her.

He was bruised, and the mess his head-his hairwas shaved when he was locked in.

Now his one hand was still in plaster cast, and at the same time holding a cane.

“Is it them? Tell me!” Beth rushed toward him, grasping Jacky's hand.

Jacky pretended to smile, “Sis, you don't cry. I only broke a leg.”
