This was the first time that they could stand in front of Master Hsu above board.
There was no need for them to hide or to worry about anything.
A bunch of chrysanthemums was placed in front of the tombstone.
Adam knew that if Anthea particularly wanted to visit Master Hsu's grave, she must have a lot of words to say to the old man. Then, he said, "Anthea, stay with your grandpa for a while. I'll wait for you at the foot of the mountain."
Anthea nodded. "Okay!"
After Adam's tall figure left, she slowly squatted down in front of the tombstone.
Looking at the old man's benevolent smile in the photo, Anthea raised her hand and caressed it gently.
There were a lot of things she wanted to say to the old man, but suddenly she felt that words couldn't express her emotions. She looked at it for a moment. Finally, she smiled gently, showing two small dimples like before, and she said sweetly, "Grandpa, thank you!"
"Thank you for your love for me.
"Thank you for allowing Adam and me to be together."
Anthea knew that Master Hsu must have been shocked when he learned about her relationship with Adam. He must be sad and disappointed about it, but in the end he still admitted Anthea could be with Adam if she really wanted it...
Unfortunately, she had no chance to be filial to this kind-hearted old man again.
When Anthea came down from the mountain, Adam was leanning against the front part of the jeep.
It was a rare instance to see him stand in such a casual posture, with one leg bent forward, while the body shape was powerful and smooth.
With a cigarette in his mouth, he lowered his head and lit it up.
A silver lighter was held by his slender fingers. A deep blue flame was on tope of the lighter, while white smoke swirled around it.
Anthea walked to him with her little hands on her back. She stared at the small lighter.
She seemed to have been scratched in the heart by something.
The red circle at the bottom of the lighter made her smile.
However, when she thought of the gunshot scar on his left chest, Anthea felt distressed.
She leaned forward, hug his waist, and nestled her head into his arms. "Adam, you keep it all the time!"
"Yes." There was happiness in Adam's black eyes. "You gave it to me as a gift."
At the bottom of the lighter was the red Love Bean Anthea had carved.
Anthea likened herself to be the Love Bean which was carved at the bottom of the lighter. She wanted her image to stay with Adam all the time. During the six years of separation, she was not there with him. However, whenever Adam lit up a cigarette, the image of Love Bean would remind him of Anthea Lee.
Anthea raised her hand and touched her necklace.
She was like him.
Adam's dark eyes looked at her, and a mischievous smile suddenly appeared. "Anthea, I already knew the meaning of the lighter as a gift. If a woman sends a man a lighter, it means that she wants to marry him. Haw-haw... Am I right?"
Anthea's little face instantly turned red. "I don't understand what you're talking about!"
Adam raised his eyebrows and said, "You don't understand?"
"I don't understand!" Anthea bit her lips.
Adam exhaled a mouthful of smoke and added slowly, "If you don't understand, forget it."
Hearing this, Anthea widened her eyes.
Forget it? How could that be!
Being stared at by Adam so patiently, Anthea was too embarrassed to say it directly. In the end, she could only stamp her feet in shame and anger."... Hey!"
Adam's lips curled into a smile.
There was an air of delightfulness in his eyes, and his chest was slightly rising and falling out of excitement.
Adam was indeed very delightful, and his laughter echoed in the air.
Six years later, they met again. He had seen Anthea wearing a white gown or surgical gown many times. When she was treating a patient or having an operation, she appeared to be calm and more mature than she was in the past. She was no longer the naive little girl studying in the school. Now she could handle almost everything alone.

Hate deception and Abby and Dylan take the cake ,ugh...
NO!!! Tina belongs with Wilson…. Let Dylan and Abby get together...
Wow, once again the villain messes up the true love, Abby needs to go back abroad. And Tina’s true identity as the daughter of Bill Ambrey needs to be exposed! Then the families can “convenience marry” !! Abby is a witch....
Too bad Wilson can’t figure out that his and Tina’s ex’s and his cousin Desmond are conniving creeps!...
Anthea is so stupid, lying and leaving the man who loves her more than life itself. 🤬...
She deserves to be unhappy, being with someone she doesn’t love because of resentment for the exact thing she is doing, hopefully she ends up with no one. Calvin is a wimp and doesn’t love her, just wants a wife to please his family....
So the same basic story as Simon and Addy but stupid Emily is going to marry him! What a hypocrite! Ugh...
Emily gets more stupid every chapter, when did she pickup Calvin as a fiancé!!?? This story line is awful….very sad to do to Simon what she “thought” he had done but didn’t. She is truly a dumb woman. Simon never loved or really even cared for Addy….what the hell is she doing with someone she doesn’t even know or like/love. Awful 😢...
Emily is a fool, don’t let go of the man who truly loves you. Let go of the past, of which he did nothing but help someone who saved his life, and be happy with him… he is your soulmate....
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face Emily. Just stupid! Ugh 😩...
