At nine o'clock in the morning, the air was refreshing.
Wearing casual sportswear, Crystal went out of the apartment building. The pink sportswear befitted her skin very much. What's more, she was young and energetic. There was no need for her to wear any foundation makeup. Her skin was fair and delicate, and she was just like a blooming peach blossom.
She slept well last night.
Last night, Kayden made a phone call to her. It should be like what Erik had said. Not long after he was sent to the police station, his family used its human relations network and spent some money. He was immediately released and wanted to apologize to Crystal and explain what had happened through the phone call.
Crystal directly hung up the phone. No longer wanting to talk to Kayden, she simply sent a text message that she wanted to break up with him.
She only thought that she had met a Mr. Wrong.
Crystal inhaled a mouthful of fresh air with all her strength. She wanted to get rid of all those bad thoughts.
An SUV was parked outside of the apartment building.
Crystal felt familiar with it, which had a license plate of the army.
A tall and strong man was leaning against the SUV head. He was wearing a smoky-gray handmade leisure suit, and the suit pants befitted his long legs, which were goodlooking. He was wearing a pair of white sneakers.
His hair was as sharp as steel needles, and every strand of hair was against the sunlight.
Crystal walked over with a puzzled expression on her face.
Erik's ears were as sharp as usual. When she approached him, he immediately noticed her arrival. He turned back and smiled at her. "Lil Star!"
After making sure that it was Erik, Crystal was surprised.
Her eyes blinked very slowly. After a short while, she whispered, "Erik, you are so handsome today!"
After their reunion, this was the first time for Crystal to see Erik wearing ordinary clothes.
Without wearing the military uniform, Erik looked more casual and graceful. The adamant expression and aggressiveness of a military officer had almost disappeared.
Erik smiled. "Really?"
The amazement in her eyes made him very happy. Before he went out in the morning, he actually had tried several sets of clothes in front of the mirror.
Crystal nodded like a rattle drum. Her eyes were firmly fixed on him.
She swallowed her saliva and asked in confusion, "Erik, why are you here so early? What's up?"
Erik nodded and took out the car key. "Well... Let's get into the car. I'll take you out to have fun!"
"Ah?" Crystal was slightly stunned. "I have to go to the hospital for the internship!"
Erik said, "You can ask for a day off!"
Crystal was at a loss what to do next.
Erik looked at her with concern. "Lil Star, you were crossed in love last night. I'll hang out with you to alleviate your pain of breaking up with Layden!"
Crystal didn't know what to say."..."
She scratched her long hair and looked embarrassed.
The corners of her lips twitched a little. She really wanted to say that she didn't feel anything sad after breaking up with Kayden. She only felt angry about him before she went to bed last night. She was turning a new page in her life, and she virtually cared nothing about her ex-boyfriend. Erik thought that she was sad. It was wrong.
Before she could speak, Erik opened the door and pushed her into the SUV.
The SUV drove away quickly from the apartment building.
During the National Day holidays, many local people took trips out of Francis City, and therefore the traffic was very smooth on the street.
It was easy for Crystal to ask for a day's leave from the hospital. She was just an intern, and she only had half a day's work today.
After calling her superior to ask for the leave, Crystal put down her mobile phone and inadvertently looked sideways.
Erik was focused on driving. Through the front windshield, the sunlight shone on his face. He was such a powerful and domineering man, just like a male model in fashion movies, possessing the charm of a mature man.

Hate deception and Abby and Dylan take the cake ,ugh...
NO!!! Tina belongs with Wilson…. Let Dylan and Abby get together...
Wow, once again the villain messes up the true love, Abby needs to go back abroad. And Tina’s true identity as the daughter of Bill Ambrey needs to be exposed! Then the families can “convenience marry” !! Abby is a witch....
Too bad Wilson can’t figure out that his and Tina’s ex’s and his cousin Desmond are conniving creeps!...
Anthea is so stupid, lying and leaving the man who loves her more than life itself. 🤬...
She deserves to be unhappy, being with someone she doesn’t love because of resentment for the exact thing she is doing, hopefully she ends up with no one. Calvin is a wimp and doesn’t love her, just wants a wife to please his family....
So the same basic story as Simon and Addy but stupid Emily is going to marry him! What a hypocrite! Ugh...
Emily gets more stupid every chapter, when did she pickup Calvin as a fiancé!!?? This story line is awful….very sad to do to Simon what she “thought” he had done but didn’t. She is truly a dumb woman. Simon never loved or really even cared for Addy….what the hell is she doing with someone she doesn’t even know or like/love. Awful 😢...
Emily is a fool, don’t let go of the man who truly loves you. Let go of the past, of which he did nothing but help someone who saved his life, and be happy with him… he is your soulmate....
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face Emily. Just stupid! Ugh 😩...
