"I've been in love with Olivia since we met. I'm not asking you for much; All I know is that she's alone at a bar right now, and I can't fly home in time to be with her. Can you please do me a favor and bring her home? All I'm asking is for you to send her home safely. Can you do that for me, please?" Connor's tone was sincere.
Scott stared at the direction in front of him, and his gaze landed on the sliver in the door he left ajar. The lights within the room already turned out. It seemed that Naomi went to bed already.
"You know full well what she's doing, Connor."
Connor let out a bitter chuckle. "I know, Scott, but you have found someone you care about too. Surely you'd know how I feel?"
Scott was silent once more.
Connor tightened his grip around his phone and said, "Scott, just help me this one time. I'm worried about her being all alone in a dangerous place like that. Please, I'm begging you."
Scott's expression darkened. "Connor, you know indulging her is only going to make her worse."
"I know, Scott, but just this once. Please. I'm begging you, Scott."
After a long time, Scott finally replied, "Just this once, and never again."
With that, he hung up and proceeded to dial another phone number, his gaze never leaving the door.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed cannot be reached at the moment. Please—"
Scott glanced at the time. It was already 11 p.m.
He hung up and dialed another number, but this one got picked up just within three seconds of the call going through. "Hello?"
"Help me find someone."
"Who is it?"
