The Mandarin Oriental was the closest hotel to the bar Olivia was last seen at. It was not a particularly good hotel, but not a shabby one either.
Jonas' men successfully broke into the room Olivia was brought to and managed to rescue her, alongside restraining the man who took her away.
Jonas himself went along with the rescue team, and the moment he arrived, he caught sight of his men carrying an unconscious Olivia out in their arms.
It would appear that she was drugged.
Jonas gave Olivia a once-over. Her hair was tousled, her face was flushed in an unnatural scarlet, and her eyes were half-closed. There were even some splotches of dried blood on her body, and Jonas could not be certain whether anything terrible happened to her or not.
The leader of the rescue team approached him.
"What happened?" Jonas asked.
The man replied, "Miss Carver had been conscious up until the moment we arrived, and thankfully, she did not let the culprit take advantage of her. We managed to rescue her without any problems."
Jonas raised his brows in a look of understanding. "Thanks."
The men soon brought Olivia into their van which was supposed to send her to the nearest hospital. They had no other choice.
Jonas watched as the van sped away and was just about to call Scott when he caught sight of a familiar car parked across the road.
The car was a black Mercedes-Benz and was parked inconspicuously underneath a big banyan tree, concealed by the tree's silhouette. One would never have noticed its presence if one did not pay attention.
Jonas's gaze just so happened to land in that direction which was why he managed to notice the car. He continued to stare at it for a few moments until finally, the rear passenger window rolled down.
The yellowish glow of the streetlights seeped between the banyan tree's leaves and cast a glow over the person sitting in the rear passenger seat.
It was Scott.
He held his phone to his ear as though he was on a call, but his gaze was fixated on Jonas.
All of a sudden, Jonas' phone rang.
