Lena smiled as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “To be honest, I haven’t been a judge in a long time, and I won’t be staying in the country for much longer.”
“Your theories have always been a guiding light for the psychology students at Aurelith University. I know you’ve even declined some international competition invitations in the past, but I still hope you’ll take a look at these, Yasmine said sincerely. She took out a stack of documents from her bag and handed them to Lena. “These documents contain work that some students have written based on your theories. Some students have even proposed new ideas. I hope you’ll take a look.”
Lena
was
surprised as she took the documents and casually flipped through them. “Thank you, I’ll take a close look at them.
Yasmine breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn’t entirely sure that Lena would agree to her request, but at least she had managed to hand over the students’ papers,
But just as she was about to leave, Lena suddenly called out to her, “Ms. Sanchez, what do you think about what happened here tonight?”
Yasmine, puzzled, pointed to the drama on the stage. “Are you referring to that?”
“What else do you think I’m referring to?” Lena replied. “But I must say, Ms. Sanchez, you handled the situation quite well. If I were you, I might have been even more ruthless, Lena pointed toward the control panel for the screen.
Yasmine instantly understood that everything, whether it was what Helen or she did, was all within Lena’s view. “You flatter me, Ms. Langston. I was just protecting myself, she replied.
Lena finished her champagne in one gulp, set the empty glass on the table, and then stood up and left.
Yasmine exchanged a glance with Yonas and couldn’t help but laugh. She asked, “You knew as well?” She was referring to the USB drive.
Yonas didn’t deny it. I always keep an eye on you, Yasmine. You did very well.”
“Are you mocking me, Mr. Russell? Both Ms. Langston and you knew I did it. It means I’m too clumsy,” Yasmine pouted. She had thought no one would notice.
Yo*s*u ask me for help, Yasmine? If I had done it, no one would have noticed.
Yasmine’s heart s**d a beat. Y**s’s eyes sparkled as if with tears. His lowered gaze and fluttering eyelashes made him look like an abandoned puppy. “Wait! He is clearly a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I must be crazy to compare him to a sad puppy. After all, he is the third son of the Russell family in Soucrity,’ she thought.
“Mr. Russell, how can I trouble you with such a trivial matter?” Yonas shrugged, feeling that Yonas was becoming increasingly. foxy.
“Yasmine, anything related to you is never trivial,” he replied, his dark eyes shimmering with an irresistible charm.
A blush spread across Yasmine’s cheeks, and she quickly turned her head away. “Mp-Russell, please mind your words,” she said, before hastily running off, too flustered to look at Yonas any longer.
On the way back, under Yoselin’s insistence, Yasmine finally agreed to let Yonas give her a ride home. Yoselin chattered away the entire trip, even forgetting to let Yasmine sit in the front seat “Yasmine, you have no idea how funny it was. Helen, was completely at a loss for words. The reporters had already taken photos and videos. Does she really think everyone else is a Yool
“Even if the reporters captured everything and recorded the audio, tomorrow’s news won’t feature the Flynn family’s scandal. It will likely be spun as the Miss of the Flynn family being harassed, but the attempt failed,” Yasmine explained

calmly.
“But why? They clearly captured everything!” Yoselin huffed in frustration.
Yasmine explained softly. “It’s no use. They can’t afford to offend the Flynn family. If they follow the Flynn family’s instructions, they’ll get a hefty reward. If they go against them, they might lose their jobs. What do you think they’ll do

Yasmine had known this as soon as the reporters began asking questions, so she didn’t pay any more attention to Helen after she shifted the subject. She knew by tomorrow, everyone would only know what Helen wanted them to know.
“What?” Yoselin exclaimed unhappily, dugging Yasmine’s arm. “If I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have bothered watching. I should have gone with you to invite Ms. Langston instead. By the way, did she agree?”
“Not really. She politely declined. After all, her time is precious. But I did give her the papers written by the students about her theories,” Yasmine said, seeing this as a small victory.
Yoselin looked at Yasmine with concern. “Are you okay, Yasmine? What about the school leaders?”
“It’s okay. I’ve already made an effort and extended the invitation As long as I’ve tried, that’s what matters,” Yasmine said, patting Yoselin’s head. She never considered rejection a bad thing. Besides, even without Lena, she was confident she could organize the competition well
“Don’t worry! Yasmine, you’ve got me too, Yoselin chirped.
When they returned to the apartment building, Yasmine ran into Lucy.
Lucy immediately recognized Y**s car. She was carrying several bags and blocked Yasmine as she got out of the car. “Well, well, Yasmine! You’ve ditched your friend for a guy!” She exclaimed loudly, without holding back in the slightest. What made it worse was that Yonas had just gotten out of the car too, and the words went straight into his ears. He calmly greeted Lucy, “Hello.”
“Hello, Mr. Russell!” Lucy responded with a smile before turning to threaten Yasmine, “Tell me! Where have you two been fooling around? I called you so many times, but you didn’t even pick up.”
“Calls?” Yasmine was momentarily stunned as she patted her dress. She was wearing an evening gown, and her phone wasnt on her or in the car. “I think I left my phone at the office. She clearly remembered not bringing it to the banquet.
“Then you can pick it up at the office tomorrow, but don’t try to change the subject. Come on, tell me, where did you two go?” Lucy insisted
Yoselin jumped out of the car, exclaiming. “And I was there too. We went to Helen’s birthday party
“Bang!” Lucy immediately released her hands, and all the bags she was holding dropped to the ground. “What?” she exclaimed.
She stared at Yasmine in astonishment, reaching out to feel her forehead. “You don’t seem to have a fever, but you went to that woman’s birthday party? She’s always making things difficult for you, and you still rushed over to celebrate her birthday? Did she bully you again? Wait, why would she send you an invitation?”
Lucy bombarded Yasmine with so many questions that she didnt know which to aper first. “It’s a long story. you go inside? I remember you have the password.”
Lucy still held onto Yasmine tightly. “You don’t have feelings for that jerk, do you?”
Yasmine shot a glance at Yonas and replied, “Of course not! That jerk!”
Why didn’t
“Lucy, I know everything! You know what? Helen had the worst luck today. Everyone saw her embarrassing video,” Yoseling chimed in, pulling Lucy aside to give her brother and Yasmine some time alone.

Yasmine looked at the s**d bags on the ground, probably over a dozen, and wondered how Lucy had managed to carry them all.
