Rebirth In Divorce: My New Mr. Perfect novel Chapter 90

Chapter 90
Yasmine washed her hands again, turned the stove to its highest setting, and placed the meat she bought from the supermarket into the pot to blanch. White foam floated on the water’s surface, and the rising steam wafted up, enveloping her face
Beads of sweat gradually formed on her forehead. Just as she was about to wipe them off with the back of her hand, Yonas took some tissues and gently dabbed her forehead dry. “Thank you,” Yasmine murmured.
Yonas tossed the tissues into the trash, wiped his hands, and began chopping vegetables.
His hands, slender and well-defined, made the steel vegetables, his hands appeared even more attractive.
knife in his grip look like an art piece. Against the backdrop of green
Yasmine glanced at him. She felt as though the hand that had just wiped her sweat lingered on her forehead and flushed
After fishing the meat out of the pot, she said. “Can you wash the peppers?”
“Sure.” Yonas immediately set down the knife and took the green peppers to rinse.
Yasmine naturally took over the knife and started chopping the vegetables, her gaze constantly drifting towards Yonas. Suddenly, she let out a scream.
What happened?” Yonas put down the peppers.
Yasmine clutched her hand as blood trickled through her fingers. She had been distracted and accidentally cut herself. cut my finger,” she said.
Yonas quickly washed his hands, handed her some tissues, and asked, “Where’s the first-aid kit?”
“Under the TV cabinet,” said Yasmine.
Yonas turned off the stove and went to retrieve the first-aid kit. Yasmine, holding her finger, also walked out of the kitchen/ Although the cut wasn’t deep, the pain seemed to radiate straight to her heart, making it throb with each pulse.
Yonas had her sit on the sofa while he knelt in front of her. He took out disinfectant from the kit and gently applied it with a cotton swab.
“Why weren’t you
more careful?”
His voice was filled with concer
“I was distracted,” replied Yasmine. The disinfectant stung as it touched the wound. She tried to pull back, but Yonas held her band.
“What were you thinking about?” Yonas asked, his voice deep and magnetic.
Yasmine didn’t respond, too embarrassed to tell him that she had been looking at him.
Yonas placed a waterproof adhesive bandage on her finger, returned the first-aid kirto its place under the TV cabinet, and said, “Stay here. I’ll finish cooking.”
Yasmine’s heart raced. Even after Yonas had left, she found herself staring blankly at the bandage.
She stood up and leaned against the kitchen door, watching him cook. She couldn’t help but think, People will be shocked if they know that the high and mighty Mr. Russell is cooking
Yoselin, who must have been frightened at the supermarket, was huddled in a corner, quietly looking at her sketchbook, and didn’t even come over despite the commotion.
Chapter 90
It was a relief that she didn’t come over. Yasmine wasn’t sure if Yoselin’s condition would worsen again if she saw blood.
Seeing Yonas diligently chopping vegetables in the kitcken, Yastiine suddenly wanted to see what he looked like working in
his office.
Yonas suddenly turned and smiled at her. “Staring at me so intently?”
“I’m not staring at you. I’m worried you don’t know how to cook Yasmine replied.
“Well, you’d better watch the food closely, or you might end up liking me,” Yonas said as he turned back.
Sweat dripped down his face, tracing along his sharply defined jawline and neck. Yasmine instinctively recalled the sensation of holding onto his neck that day as she was being lifted by him
She teased, “Do others know how narcissistic you are?”
“No, you are the only one who knows this,” said Yonas
Xavier remained in the parking lot for a long time without any intention of getting out of the car. He lit a cigarette and was lost in thought. I have to admit, I felt uncomfortable seeing Yonas at Yasmine’s place. I’m certain I don’t like Yasmine, so why did I feel that way? I must be crazy to have thought of buying desserts for her!’
After finishing his cigarette, he picked up the box and went home
Yvette had been waiting at home for a long time. She gently took the file bag and dessert box from Xavier’s hands and grew excited at the sight of the brand name on the packaging.
She said, “You bought desserts from this place? I’ve heard about this famous dessert shop in Soucrity, but I’ve never had a chance to try it. Did you buy these specifically for me?
Xavier felt a bit awkward but still nodded. “If you like it, I’ll take you there next time.”
“Okay.” Yvette put the box down, and Xavier headed upstairs.
She opened the package happily, thinking that her previous worries were unfounded-Xavier was still the same as before. But when she found the aluminum tube of ointment at the bottom of the box, her expression changed. She thought to herself, ‘It’s a burn ointment! Why would there be a burn ointment in the dessert box?
She suddenly remembered Yasmine getting burned at the psychology knowledge competition. She clenched the ointment in her hand tightly, thinking, ‘It’s that woman again! Clearly, the ointment isn’t meant for me. Even the desserts aren’t meant for me. They are all for that woman! Now that he has brought them home, what reason could there be except that he hasn’t managed to give them to her?
The rich, c**y scent of the desserts filled the room, but Yvette had no appetite. She didn’t want what someone else had rejected, so she threw both the desserts and the burn ointment into the trash.
The next moment, she composed herself and brought a cup of coffee to Xavier.
After dinner, Yasmine was about to clear the dishes when Yonas stopped her, his voice sterras he pointed to her hand and said. “I’ll do it”
Yasmine avoided his intense gaze and didn’t insist.
She sat on the sofa, with the television blaring loudly, but she wasn’t paying attention to it, as her mind was in turmoil
She thought to herself, “Yonas and I have been growing increasingly close, crossing the boundaries of a normal relationship. I used to think he saw me only as Yoselin’s psychologist. But who would care so much about their sister’s psychologist? I once believed that Yonas’ appearances during my times of need were mere coincidence, but I am no longer so sure.
Chapter 90
Her cheeks grew hotter as images of Yonas applying a bandage to her, cooking for her, making traditional medicine for her, and carrying her flashed in her mind.
She thought, I’ve reminded myself repeatedly to recognize the gap between us, but I can’t control my feelings for him. Maybe Yonas feels the same… No. I shouldn’t think this way. Yonas is one of the most renowned and powerful people in Soucrity. Actually, I overheard the gossip at the banquet that day, even though I didn’t care.’
“Anyone with sense would choose the Russell family over the Flynn family. This poor woman’s fate is completely changed.”
“There’s no way the Russell family would accept a woman like that. Even if Mr. Russell likes her now, it’s probably just a fling -nothing serious”
“What are you thinking? Hurry up and drink your tea,” said Yonas, placing a bowl in front of her and thrusting a spoon into her hand. The faint bitterness of herbs wafted up, and Yasmine immediately realized it was her traditional medicine.
She snapped back to reality, her heart fluttering as she stared at the bowl. “Thank you.”
“You are welcome.” Yonas smiled faintly.
Yasmine took a sip, the bitterness filling her mouth. Yonas had been making traditional medicine for her every day for a while now.
“Does anyone know how good you are at making traditional medicine, Mr. Russell?” Yasmine asked, taking another sip. Yonas chuckled. “You are the only one I am willing to make traditional medicine for.
