"Mr. Hansen was poisoned too?"
"Yes, I treated him myself. That's why I'm so certain." Looking at Vic, Yolanda extended her right hand to him. "Let me check you as well."
Vic complied and let her take his pulse.
"There's no toxin inside of you. You can rest easy." Yolanda examined Vic too. She found nothing wrong with his body.
"This goes deeper than I thought..." Vic fell silent for a moment before saying, "Thank you, Ms. Henderson. I'll get to the bottom of this. And I'll speak with Mr. Hansen soon."
He and Nigel represented two generations of power in Riverdale. If something happened to both of them, who would benefit from this?
His eyes darkened as he considered the implications. This was clearly premeditated poisoning. Something must have gone wrong for the poison to end up in Beatrice's food instead.
"Riverdale's about to get interesting again. But don't worry, Ms. Henderson. I won't mention your involvement in my investigation!" Vic assured her. "You won't face any blowback from this."
Yolanda nodded, then remembered something. She said, "Mr. Seinfeld, there's one more thing..."

An hour later, Vic's security detail drove Yolanda back to the Henderson mansion.
