Knox huffed coldly.
"I'm an amateur when it comes to antiques. It's normal if I'm unable to tell whether someone had tampered with these red coral beads.
"But you're the manager of an antique shop and a black market dealer that started off selling illegal artifacts. If you can't tell that something's wrong with this bracelet, then there's something wrong with you.
"Previously, you told me that this bracelet is the most valuable collectible in your shop. You claimed that you'd gotten it from a Baltique priest for a high price. You kept persuading me to get this for my father.
"What were your intentions? I don't want to hear any more excuses from you. Just tell me how I should deal with this now."
The moment Knox finished his sentence, his bodyguards raised the weapons in their hands and glared intently at Edna, almost like they were ready to take action once Knox ordered it.
Edna knew she could no longer weasel her way out with the way Knox was behaving. She didn't panic. Instead, she smiled faintly, showing clearly that she was unfazed.
"Mr. Knox, once the item has been paid for, it would no longer have anything to do with our shop anymore. Don't you understand how this works?
"You don't know bead bracelets well enough, and you have misjudged this one. All you can do is admit that you were unfortunate. This is the rule of the antique world.
"Once I hand the bracelet over to you, no matter if it's real or fake, it has nothing to do with us anymore."
The bystanders were shocked by how unreasonable Edna was. Even Yolanda, who was eyeing the boulders on the wall, couldn't help but glance at Edna.
She really wanted to know where Edna got the courage to be so arrogant even after Knox had found out the truth.
"Nothing to do with you?" Knox spat as he yelled at Edna while pointing at her.
"If this is a dupe, I'll admit I'm unfortunate. But you're the one that's plotting for my life here. How dare you say that this has nothing to do with you?"
"What are you still standing there for? Do it!" Knox ordered his bodyguards, "Teach them a lesson!"
"Yes, sir!"
