Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master novel Chapter 1692

"Yes. I think so too. If you don't have any objections, I'll send my people to the Genie Fief right now," Gilbert said.

Elder Leticia nodded eagerly. Her silence was agreement enough.

After that, Gilbert called for a servant and told him to run to the Genie Fief and deliver a message. At the same time, he whispered to more of his people and ordered them to surround the guest hall where Gloria lived.

At first, Gloria expected Gilbert to come straight to her, but a whole day had passed and he still hadn't shown up, so she grew confused.

"My Lady, I have some bad news!" Suddenly, Purple burst through the door.

"What's wrong?" Gloria asked, turning to face her with her beautiful eyes narrowed.

"Someone just stopped me outside. He said that the leader has ordered us to stay in. And I just saw a bunch of masters surrounding our house," Purple replied, looking wary.

"Gilbert must be trying to take the engagement covenant by force," Gloria assumed.

"What should we do? Should we attack them?" Purple stood straight like she was ready to fight.

"No. We should just wait for a while. Maybe they are just worried we will try and escape." Gloria waved her hand nonchalantly.

Another day crawled by and Gilbert was still nowhere to be seen. The guest hall was also still surrounded.

"It looks like Gilbert wants to

put me under house arrest. He might have sent someone to look for my father." Gloria knew that she had underestimated Gilbert. He might not want to hurt her but that wouldn't stop him from trapping her inside the Ghost Fief.

If her father were to learn about what she had done in the Ghost Fief, he would probably ask her to hand over the engagement covenant immediately. That would mean that all her efforts would be in vain and she would have to return to the Genie Fief with nothing.

"Should I sneak out and bring reinforcements from the Genie Fief to help us?" Purple asked, beginning to feel antsy from being trapped inside.

"You won't get there and back fast enough. Besides, I'm the one who made a mistake. My father will ask me to hand over the engagement covenant if we go to him. I don't want my plan to fail..." Above all else, Gloria didn't want all of her efforts to be flushed down the toilet. She had worked too hard.

"Then what should we do?"

"It looks like I have to ask my fiance for help." Gloria decided that her back-up plan would work just fine.

"Will he help us?" Purple asked in a doubtful voice.

"Tonight, I will try to attract the attention of the guards. Once I've done that, you can sneak out and find the Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief. He will think of a way to save us. Tell him that if he can do it, I will return the engagement covenant to him," Gloria answered, ignoring her uncertainty.

"Okay." Purple nodded.

That evening, as soon as she had finished her dinner that had been sent by the servant, Gloria walked out of the guest hall alone. The moment that she reached the outer door of the guest hall, two officials that were at the Emperor Realm appeared and blocked her path.

"We're sorry. We have orders from our leader to not let you out," one of them said politely, cupping his hands.

"Can't I just take a walk?" Gloria's beautiful eyes twinkled and an attractive smile spread on her cheeks. Within seconds, the two officials and some other members behind them couldn't take their eyes off of her.

"We can't disobey the order of our leader." However, the officials had a stronger willpower than she had thought and not long after, they came to their senses.

"If you don't trust me, then you can follow me..." Ignoring the two officials, Gloria walked straight out of the door of the guest hall. The two officials exchanged a glance and followed her. A few other people trailed on their heels.

Accompanied by so many people, Gloria strolled around the leader's whole mansion.
