The giant peered down at Rocky with big, dark green eyes. He didn't try to hurt him. It looked like he was just curious.
"Who... are... you?" the giant asked in a slow, deep voice. From the way he spoke, it was clear that he was not fluent in Rocky's language.
For a moment, Rocky hesitated. He didn't want to answer the question because he might say something wrong and make the giant angry. The last thing he wanted was for the giant to attack him. The aura the giant was emitting was extremely strange, and Rocky was afraid that the creature had power that was equal to or higher than the Emperor Realm. Therefore, he remained cautious.
"Who are you?" Rocky asked in return after some thought.
"I'm... the Wind Monster..." the giant answered with some effort.
"Sir, I'm really sorry. I never meant to disturb you. I am here because I fell from the cliff. Could you please tell me where I am and why you are here?" Rocky asked as politely as he could. He was pretty sure that the giant didn't want to harm him.
"This is the holy land. I'm the gatekeeper. My master asked me to guard this place..." the Wind Monster answered.
"This is the holy land? That means it's a forbidden land. Sir, are you going to send me away?" Rocky asked hesitantly. He had no intention of staying here very long. After all, he didn't want to risk a fight with the giant in front of him.
"No, you can stay here. You have the aura of my master," the Wind Monster answered calmly.
"The aura of your master? Is your master..." Rocky trailed off. At the mention of the Wind Monster's master, Rocky thought of the headless corpse in the Martial Spirit Graveyard that was also the master of the Scarlet Heaven Jade. If they were the same person, that meant that the master of the Scarlet Heaven Jade had a deep connection with the royal family of the Shura Race. Otherwise, how could he have ordered the Wind Monster to guard the holy land of the Shura Race's royal family?
"You have my master's aura so you know where he is." All of a sudden, the Wind Monster was looking at Rocky expectantly.
His gaze made Rocky hesitate. But he couldn't hold the news back forever. "I do. He is dead."
"Dead? That's not possible. My master is the king. He has an immortal body. He can't die..." The Wind Monster was starting to panic. A violent aura that was equal to the strength of a high-grade Spiritual Emperor filled the air. Rocky steadied himself and held his hands up to the Wind Monster to calm him.
"Why would I lie to you? Rocky replied.
"No... My master isn't dead..." Growing more irrational, the Wind Monster stomped his huge feet against the dirt. The whole area trembled, sending sand and stones flying.
"Calm down, sir!" Rocky shouted over the noise.
"Who killed my master? Was it you?" the Wind Monster accused, staring at Rocky with wide, threatening eyes.
"No... No. It wasn't me..." Rocky shook his head firmly.
"Then why do you have his aura?" the Wind Monster asked in a deep voice. The killing intent he was emitting became thicker, like he was preparing to attack Rocky.
"Because your master's power merged with me..." Rocky answered honestly.
"What?" The Wind Monster tilted his head to the side. He walked closer to Rocky and started slowly circling him.
Rocky stayed completely still. He plastered an innocent look on his face and let the Wind Monster think it out.
