CHARLOTTE...

I always know something is wrong. Her excitement is giving me a little insecure vibe even though I have planned my own scrutiny already.

Still, their attack will be unknown. When we went into the company, I saw people in festive moods. Basically, they held a party as today is the company's birthday and to celebrate it, employees are invited along with their families.

Not all the employees are wolves though. There are vampires, wolves and humans too as this is one of the huge biotech companies. Though not as big as Augustus's business, Adrian's business is extended too.

I walked inside with Alice and she led me to Adrian. Frankly, the moment my eyes fell on him, I felt a battle of lava inside me. I wanted to kill him then and there but I controlled my anger.

He walked toward us and without any warning, he pulled me in a hug. I didn't hug him back though, instead, broke the hug, forcing a smile on my face.

"Long time no see, Adrian. Hi." I greeted him.

He also smiled and I know well, how fake that smile is. "Of course, long time no see. I have missed you so much, Charlotte." He once again hugged me. This time I couldn't push him back but stayed still. Tried not to hug him back.

After a little while of hugging, he pulled back himself.

"Come on, let me introduce you to my colleagues." Saying, he pulled my hand and almost dragged me along.

ALICE...

I watched Adrian taking her with him and finally removed the smile on my face. I swear, my every smile at that woman is fake. I hate her so freaking much!

After Adrian dragged her along with him, it was an excuse for me to continue with our plan. Immediately, I pulled out my mobile phone and checked the message section. But, there was no reply from Augustus, except for some official texts.

I frowned. Why did he don't call me yet? Is he not taking my words seriously?

Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind and I freaked out. What if he started trusting her so much now that he just ignored my text?

But soon, I smiled knowing that he can't ignore my next message. I went to the gallery and opened the photo that I just clicked when Adrian hugged her.

I couldn't get it the first time when he hugged her. It felt like, she somehow pushed him away from her. And with my silent gesture, he hugged her again and that time, I took the picture of them.

Even if he ignores me now, this photo of course will send him to the edge of his fury. And then... I felt try lips curving deeper just by thinking about what would happen next.

Without wasting a time, I send the photo and waited. Time passed by but no reply from him. What the hell? It wasn't in our plan! Why is he not replying?

Should I call him? I dialled his number once but then hesitated. What if he saw this but didn't react? I turned the phone off.

But then opened it once again and dialled his number. What if he didn't even notice my texts? Maybe, this phone call would help?

Keeping my hesitation aside, I called him.

But it never rang and with a beep beep sound it ended the call. I blinked, couldn't believe this just happened to me as I tried one again and it was the same.

My heart started beating faster as anger rose high in my head. This man! He blacklisted me! Fuck!

That's why there was no response from him! Thank Goddess, I decided to call him, or else, I would have never known what is happening behind my back!

But why? Why did he suddenly black listed me? Is it because of her? My eyes trailed to find the woman I hate and there is she, smiling and greeting with the colleagues of my brother.

That bitch! I am sure, she is somehow related to this. I fucking knew something she is planning to do! There was something wrong with her attitude toward us and I was guessing that!

Did she get to know our plan? Buy how would she do that? It's not possible. Or she just guessed something?

But whatever it is, this is her last smile. Oh, smile Charlotte. As much as you can because tomorrow, I will smile only.

"Oh no, nothing of that sort. It's just, I asked randomly." She waved her hand in the air.

I patted her shoulder once again in a happy mood. "It's alright." And winked at her. "I understand."

She blushed and I chuckled before leaving her side and walking toward my brother and my worst enemy.

Well, soon the result will be seen after he receives the text.

I was with Adrian and he is introducing me to his colleagues and partners as his friend, which I insisted on.

I just made up an excuse that I don't want to be introduced as his girlfriend before I recover my wolf and he agreed. Well, he has to. After all, he cannot really accept the truth about me, right?

Even though I was beside him, a part of my concentration also followed Alice. I watched her doing something on her phone and then she found Lauren, Adrian's assistant and took her mobile. She did something with it before returning the phone to her.

Quite suspicious. Well, everything is suspicious today because there is no way they didn't plan anything against me before bringing me here.

Soon, she came toward us and started mixing with colleagues and partners. She immediately gained my focus because, for some reason, Alice seemed so happy and in a light mood. Even more than before when she picked me up for the office.

What happened? Why she is so happy? Is her plan getting successful? But, what is their plan?

As I thought this and that, suddenly one possibility crossed my mind. Augustus it is. Yes, I did block her from his phone and before that, I read her texts.

She kept him informed about me and my every plan to run away from him along with her own feelings that she wrote a bit complicatedly in the texts.

Didn't she just use Lauren's Mobile? What if she texted him?
