AUTHOUR'S POV...

'Get her from wherever you can! Right now!' Augustus growled, throwing things here and there as Mateo already went out to fulfil the Alpha's order.

Augustus felt disturbed. His every cell is burning just with one piece of news and that stupid pick sent by Alice. He wanted to destroy every single thing before him.

He loved her with all he got. He accepted her every wish, even if he did not trust her. And she did this to him? She still chose to run away from him and meet her sick pathetic so-called boyfriend?

How!?

Augustus couldn't understand anymore as he felt the murderous rage in his veins. He already ordered his beta to bring her back.

This time he would show no mercy but his Alpha mood which he never used on her.

When he was on the verge to break other things, his phone suddenly popped up with another text. He rushed to his phone and immediately opened it.

It's from Charlotte?

He swiped the text and started reading it.

'Hey honey, I am sorry for letting you know a bit late. I am not home currently. I came out to visit their biotech company with Alice. They are having a function here and she insisted. Also, I can search for some antidote for myself as I really want to wake up the wolf. Even though you said you don't care about my wolf. I do care. As your mate, I want to be the best Luna for you and the pack. After recovering my wolf, I want to mark each other and be by your side for a lifetime.'

'After coming here, Adrian hugged me but I immediately pushed him away from me. I don't know why, I just don't like anyone to hug nowadays as I only could think about you. You really messed up with my brain cells.'

'Anyways, I have to go now. See you soon at home. Bye.'

Augustus blinked. All the fury that was rushing to him all gone. As if it was never there!

He immediately searched for Mateo, who already left to bring his mate back to him. He mind-linked.

'Come back to my office, now! No need to bring her anymore.' Augustus ordered and sat on his seat with the text still open for his eyes.

Mateo came back and when he entered in a sloppy mood, he found his Alpha staring at a phone with a smile plastered on his face.

"Alpha." He mentioned his presence and bowed a little in respect. Suddenly confused about his behaviour.

Augustus looked up at him and smiled as if nothing happened a few seconds ago. He turned his phone to him and spoke, "My mate seems to be enjoying her time there. No need to disturb her anymore." He announced.

Let's get back to work. Saying, he pulled back the file to him, which he threw away a bit ago.

Mateo sighed in relief, thanking Goddess in mind. He stood by Alpha's side like always, rummaging through his thoughts and keeping his mood in check from time to time.

However, nothing happened later and that calmed him down a little as he thank again the Goddess and Charlotte too.

For Mateo, he has grown up with Augustus. His father used to be Augustus's father's best friend and Beta and assistant. Then he exchanged the place with his father just like Augustus did.

So, he knew well about his paranoid personality. His paranoia grew up since he met Charlotte. Augustus loves his mate too much that even after she tried to betray him for two long years and hated his presence around her, he still never let her go.

It's another thing that she suddenly changed her behaviour toward Augustus for the betterment. And like Augustus, he also finds it a bit fishy.

However, no matter what is her plan, she is the only one who could calm down this angry wolf. Augustus lost his sense if he find anything against his mate. Especially, her betrayals.

I immediately turned to Adrian. "Hey, it's alright. Not his fault entirely. I will go to the washroom."

"I am so sorry, ma'am." The poor guy apologised. He is scared and shaking because of the sudden accident and Specially, because of Adrian's gaze on him.

"Hey, it's fine. You can go. Just clean the place." I said to him and he left immediately with a nod to bring the cleaner.

"I will go to the washroom," I said and was about to leave when Alice try to come with me. "I will come with you." She said.

Well, no bitch. You can't.

I wish I can say that to her face, instead, I smiled and shook my head. "Oh, don't worry about me. You accompany Adrian here. I will be right back."

Saying, I left immediately before she could protest anymore.

As I came away from the people's eyes, I directly went to the washroom and immediately hide in a corner and followed if anyone is following.

But, fortunately, no. I guess, that sibling duo didn't doubt me and take that as an accident. Thank God, they didn’t think anything else.

A minute later, I came out of the corner and took the empty corridor.

Well, this is a very rare chance I just got after blaming my idea on a poor guy. I need to make it use properly...
