'I have a task for you.' Augustus spoke through mind link.

'Yes, Alpha.' Mateo replied.

'Don't stop the investigation on Alice and Adrian. I want more details. I think, there is more to this. Find out everything, Mateo. I am counting on you.' He ordered.

Mateo gulped hard. He already knows that his mate is involved in this and Luna has assured him to not say anything even though he wanted to let Alpha inform about her mistakes.

Now, if he kept digging into the matter, the involvement of Carina would come forward. Then what would he do? But, duty is a duty and he is obliged to maintain it.

He could only rely upon Luna. So, he nodded his head. 'Yes, Alpha.' I am on it.

'Mateo...' Augustus called for him again.

'Yes, Alpha?'

'Arrange a private place for training. I will start training Charlotte from today.' He ordered again and Mateo nodded his head. 'Yes, Alpha. I am on it.'

After closing his mind link, Augustus freshened up and walked out of the bathroom. He has work to do but watching her peaceful state of sleeping, he didn't want to go anywhere today.

Moreover, because of the rogue problem, he couldn't give her enough time and was busy for a long time. That made their relationship haggard more.

Mateo started investigating the matter more. He also agreed with the Alpha that there seemed to be more in it. He also kept sharp eyes on his Mate's movements and she didn't seem to do any stupid deed again.

Soon, he stopped his car in the Golden Heart pack. He came out and looked around. After such a long time he stepped into this pack. Seemed like the pack has been upgraded.

Mateo walked inside, hiding himself in the dark night and avoiding people's eyes on him. He can not be seen which would affect his investigation. The more he could hide the more the secret is safe.

He came here to meet an omega named Barton. From his loyal source, he heard that the scent replication things so somewhat connected with this place. He frowned at first and thought to ignore it because that felt unreasonable.

However, in the next minute, he decided to come here. It could be anything. Just like, his mate was related to this matter and that was unexpected for him. So, he didn't want to take any risk for the well-being of his pack and the kingdom.

Soon, he met his loyal spy, who was waiting for him in the jungle. After meeting him, his spy took him furthermore to the jungle. He frowned. "Why ate we here?"

"Barton lives here, Beta. He is away from all the chaos and a little weird man. But his experience and information are all correct." The spy replied.

Mateo didn't say anything and just followed him. After a while, the spy stopped and pointed to a little hut that was almost dark with only a little light.

"Here is his hut, Beta. Please go inside." The spy said, stepping aside as he can't go any more. it's forbidden in his task to reveal himself to anyone other than his boss. Because they needed to roam around all over.

Mateo nodded and stepped forward, hoping for something helpful to find out.
