CHARLOTTE...

I followed Mateo home. Left me to home and asked one of his loyal werewolves to guard me to follow the Alpha's order.

His name is Gavin. One of the soldier and guard wolves. He is huge in build. Even more than Augustus.

His work is to follow me behind and protect me even with his life. He is asked to not disturb me or cross the distance limitation while following me as I am free to go wherever I want.

After setting Gavin in his work, Mateo went back to the company to his Alpha.

I was happy after a long time. A feeling of refreshment overwhelmed me.

I at least can move around freely in the pack and get to know others. I already know that I have to face consequences because of having no wolf. In the meantime, I have to find a way to wake up my wolf.

As I entered my room... Nope! I shook my head. Our room this is. Have to take a shower after that wild counter of sex.

As soon as I dropped my mobile on the bed, it started ringing. Once I looked at it, my happy mood turned sullen.

The call from Alice.

For once I didn't want to pick it up, but then a thought arrived in my mind. If I started ignoring her then these siblings would guess something has changed between us, which can't take place in my revenge plan.

So, reluctantly, I picked up the call.

The moment I received the call, I heard Alice's angry tone.

"What the fuck is wrong with your head, Charlotte. Why didn't you leave with Adrian when you get the golden chance? Instead, you denied and insulted him with the guards? What happened to you suddenly? It was such a great opportunity toward your liberty."

Alice didn't even take a minimal breath between her words. She was so enraged and I could sense it even on the phone.

At first, her words angered me but then I calmed down myself and proceeded with my plan.

"Hush, calm down Alice. I also know I have pushed away the golden chance. But, there is a reason behind it."

I said, sneering on my own. This is really fun to play while knowing what step they are gonna take next and how would I handle them.

"What reason?" Alice asked and I could imagine a suspicious frown on her face.

"Well, I can't let you know about the plan now. I have a lot to talk to you about. I will tell everything to you in person... When I get back home."

I added a little lie in the end, sounding a little nervous so that my words felt real to her.

She was paused for some time. Maybe, it's working? A few later, she spoke. "What do you mean by after getting home? Where are you now?"

"Oh, I was with Augustus, in his company. And about to get back." I replied, hiding the fact that I already got back.

Because if she gets to know I am home, she would immediately show up before my eyes and I am in no mood to see her rubbish face.

"In his company?" The shock and jealousy in her tone are dripping. And the way she asked, she definitely is trying to suppress her anger which wasn't really helping her.

She sighed, and my eyes rolled in mockery.

She continued. "When you didn't leave with him, he was sad and furious. He came to me and told me everything."

"Oh, I am sorry to hear that. But, as I said, there was a reason behind it and I will tell you when we will meet in person."

"Yeah, sure..." She took a second of pause and then said, "Uh, Charlotte, I need to hang up now. I will talk to you later, okay?"

There was an urgency in her tone and I nodded with a disgusted sneer.

"Yeah, later."

The moment I agreed, she immediately hung up the call. I couldn't help but laugh at her stupid movements.

I know why you hung up. I might sense your unusual behaviour which made you cut the call in a hurry. But, none of you really know, what I know about you.

I couldn't help myself in the previous life and died in your hands. You burned me into the fire. But, not again.

I would avenge each moment you have destroyed in my life the previous time.

I will settle scores with you both and you will never know what happened and how it takes the place...
