"No way! Why must you leave? Hayden saving your sister is the right thing to do! If that bastard dare refuse, I won't show him any mercy!" Francis snapped.
When it came to Hayden, Francis was unable to let go of his grudge. Just the thought of Hayden's smug look was enough to stoke the flames in his heart.
"That's right, we're all family," Charlotte exclaimed. "Blood or no blood, our bond can never be erased! You can't leave. Let me have another talk with Hayden! When it comes down to it, I'm still his mother. He'll surely listen to me."
She let out a long breath. After gathering her courage, she got ready to leave. She believed that she was the best person to change Hayden's mind!
"Alright, then. I'll let you all give that a try first. Julia, Anna, go with your mother," Francis ordered.
"Yes, Dad." Julia and Anna nodded immediately and turned to leave.
The three of them immediately headed for Hayden's home.
"Will he… really agree to this?" Lily asked softly, her gaze somber.
She never once thought the day would come when Hayden held the decision over her life and death. When she recalled the way she treated Hayden in the past, she grew all the more uncertain.
"Lily, don't worry about it. I'll always stay by your side! If Hayden refuses to help you, I'll haunt him even in death!" Morgan claimed boldly.
He was taking labored breaths, which made him seem indignant. It was as if he really cared about Lily, when in fact, he was only looking for another excuse to rile up others against Hayden!
"Thank you, Morgan. I'm really touched. You're so much better than Hayden! If he refuses to help, perhaps this is my destiny," Lily lamented helplessly, then slowly closed her eyes.
