Back when they had first found Hayden, the Sterlings had made him go through a DNA test to better confirm his identity. The results were clear. Hayden was confirmed to be part of the Sterling family bloodline, and he was proven to be Charlotte's biological son.
"So what if a DNA test was done? I was born into the Sterling family, but I wasn't raised by the family. The DNA test means nothing. She's not my mother if I don't acknowledge her.
"Even if you take this to court, you guys won't have anything to stand on. So, you'd better get lost before I lose my cool!" Hayden admonished them coldly before pushing them away.
His attitude shocked the trio. Deep inside, they felt a twinge of sadness and unease.
Hayden's firm stance was not a good sign for them. It was probably impossible for them to get Hayden to agree to save Lily now.
"Hayden, I'm begging you. Can't you help your mother this one time?" Charlotte went up to Hayden and asked tearfully.
"Hmph. You just want me to convince that old man to save your daughter, right?" Hayden asked coldly, cutting straight to the chase.
He had expected this to happen, so he decided to be blunt.
"Yes! That's right. Please agree! Didn't Dr. Kray say that Lily only has a day left? If you agree to help, then Lily will be able to live. I'll agree to whatever request that you have, alright?" Charlotte begged, almost ready to get down on her knees.
Even Julia and Anna had never seen her in that state before.
"Hayden, for the sake of us being family at one point, please agree to it!" Anna chimed in.
