"I-I…" Morgan stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
His whole body stiffened, and he was visibly losing his composure. It was over.
"You can't answer it, huh?" David teased lightly.
"I…" Morgan seemed to have lost his voice entirely, and he was unable to get a single word out.
"Mr. Schnapp, Morgan might just be nervous. Could you give him a little more time? This is probably his first time in such a setting and meeting someone of your stature. That's why he's not performing at his best. Please believe me. He really can do it!" Francis interjected anxiously, stepping forward to explain.
"He got perfect scores in two subjects, and this is how he performs? How nervous must he be? Why can that young man solve it, while he can't?" David raised his head slightly, his gaze filled with disdain as he coldly stared at Francis.
Francis choked on his saliva and was unable to reply.
"Mr. Grant, is this the kind of student you want for Brighton University? Is he really the one who scored perfect marks in two subjects?" David turned his cold gaze to Victor, his tone laden with implication.
"I…" Victor's emotions were in a turmoil, his face drenched in sweat.
"Mr. Grant, answer me!" David pressed.
Victor's legs trembled as his anxiety surged, causing him to collapse into a chair like a puppet with its strings cut.
At that moment, the Sterling family members looked equally unsettled, their faces pale as they stared in disbelief.
What did this mean? Had David figured something out?
Panic set in among the Sterling family, their gazes became empty.
