Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 185

Morgan's eyes flashed with a hint of malice, and a touch of madness showed at the corner of his mouth.

"Hayden, you can enjoy yourself now, but you will regret it soon enough!" Morgan thought.

"This matter is now settled. As a professor at Brighton University, you need to accept the punishment you deserve. I will report this matter to the higher-ups.

"If you confess your wrongdoings, the punishment might be lighter. But don't think for a moment that you can escape. Those who commit crimes will always pay the price!" David said, his tone icy as he looked down at Victor.

"Yes, I understand," Victor said helplessly with a sigh, his heart filled with dejection.

"And as for the Sterling family, you should be well aware of what you've done. From now on, you should ask yourself when it comes to everything. Does it follow the rules? Is it lawful?" David continued indifferently.

Victor had used his position for personal gain while violating the laws and regulations. He had committed a crime.

However, the Sterling family had wiped everything clean, leaving no evidence behind.

Francis was meticulous and calculating, and he had prepared for every possible scenario. This also meant that there was no way to take action against the Sterling family and punish them.

"Mr. Schnapp, please rest assured. The Sterling family has always adhered to the law. We would never do such disgraceful acts," Francis said with unwavering confidence.

"Since that's the case, then you can continue eating. I'll take my leave now," David said. He had completed his task there, so he decided to leave.

It would only become more awkward if Victor stayed any longer. So, he left in a daze, his heart filled with sorrow. He knew that his career was likely coming to an end here.

In no time, David's and Victor's departures brought a sense of relief to many at the party.

"Heh! Hayden, you should be grateful that Mr. Schnapp spoke up for you. Otherwise, that qualification for admission to Brighton University would be mine," Morgan said in a low voice.
