Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 200

The people nearby listened to Jenny's explanation and nodded in agreement.

"That must be it," they murmured amongst themselves. After all, it couldn't actually be some top-tier doctor treating someone right there in the open.

One by one, the onlookers drifted away, returning to their sightseeing and exploration of the area.

"Ultimately, it's always up to me to save the day!" Jenny said smugly, grinning with pride.

She strolled to a nearby vendor and grabbed an ice cream. While she waited, a voice suddenly spoke beside her. "Hello, Ms. Caldwell."

The voice was soft but tinged with urgency. Jenny turned to see Anna standing just behind her.

"You're one of the bad guys from the Sterling family!" Jenny's eyes widened, and her tone was sharp with anger.

She had heard about Hayden's time with the Sterling family, and the stories left her resentful. Running into Anna here, of all places, only fueled her frustration.

"I'm not a bad person. I think you've misunderstood…" Anna said with an awkward smile, looking a bit helpless.

"Misunderstood? You mean to tell me you didn't make Hayden's life miserable? He couldn't eat or sleep properly because of you people! Do you think he would've left your family if things were even a little bit better for him?" Jenny shot back, her words fierce and unwavering.

Every sentence felt like a dagger, and Anna's face froze as guilt washed over her.

Jenny wasn't wrong. Everything she had said was true. The Sterling family had treated Hayden poorly.

"Stay away from me. I don't want to talk to you," Jenny snapped, waving her hand dismissively and letting out a loud, annoyed huff.
