"Fine!" Lily reluctantly agreed. She couldn't shake the fear stemming from her last unsettling encounter with Morgan. However, he was her brother, and she felt obligated to spoil him.
With that, the two went upstairs, leaving Charlotte and the other two sisters behind.
"I'm going back to my room too!" Anna huffed, her heart heavy with frustration and sadness as she left the living room.
Julia exchanged a glance with Charlotte. Without a word, they got up and went to the small garden outside the villa.
"What should we do? They're planning to trouble Hayden again!" Julia lamented.
"That Lily really has nothing better to do with her time! How can she even agree to that nonsense?" Charlotte was exasperated. Watching her own children fight each other while the illegitimate son benefited from the ensuing chaos only deepened her sorrow.
"Mom, Lily is a pawn we can use to mislead them. Anna and I will try to persuade her. Hayden must never send the gem back here! Also, we need to visit Hayden and warn him not to fall for their trap!" Julia advised, her face showing a hint of nervousness and worry.
"Right! Let's visit him tomorrow and give him a heads up." Charlotte nodded quickly, worried that they would not have enough time.
"I'll go look for Anna first, then we'll have a word with Lily," Julia said, letting out a sigh of relief.
She found Anna and discussed the situation with her.
Anna agreed to talk to Lily later, but she couldn't hold back from complaining about Lily's stupidity. How could she agree to something so foolish?
An hour later, Lily came out of Morgan's room. She rubbed her shoulders, satisfied with how comfortable they felt.
