"Hayden! Are you out of your mind? How can you treat her like that? She spent a long time picking out this food for you! You're absolutely heartless!" Julia clenched her fists, her face dark with anger.

Hayden's action had utterly enraged her. After all, Charlotte was not just Hayden's mother, but she was also Julia's mother!

"Hayden, do you have no conscience? How can you waste food like that? What did the food ever do to you?" Anna chimed in sternly, her emotions spiraling out of control.

Meanwhile, Charlotte's face turned pale, overwhelmed by anguish. She stared at the spilled food, feeling as though a heart had shattered into pieces. Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Hayden, I know I've been a bad mother to you in the past, but you can skip your meals! I'll go buy you another set, alright? Please be good and eat something," Charlotte said through her choking voice, turning to leave.

Julia and Anna had no choice but to follow her.

However, just as they turned, Hayden spoke up. "That's enough! Drop the pathetic act! Do you think you're doing this for my sake? Do you think you're truly concerned about me? What a joke. Do you really think this will absolve you of your guilt?" He sneered as he stared at the trio in disgust.

"I… I really just want you to eat well," Charlotte explained in a hurry.

"Don't push your luck! Do you think that leaving the Sterling family means you're no longer a part of it?" Julia growled through gritted teeth.

"Hayden, apologize to her this instant, and I'll forget this ever happened! She's your mother, not some stranger!" Anna added sternly.

However, Hayden's expression remained icy as his sharp gaze bore into them like a predator. "What a joke! You claim to care about me, to treat me like family! But after three years of living together, do you still not know that I'm allergic to oatmeal? Or that I can't stand the taste of celery?
