Meanwhile, Hayden spent the day reading through all the books for 11th grade and memorized every piece of knowledge.
On the way home with Jenny, he purposely bought a few cups of bubble tea.
"Oh my gosh! Hayden, you bought so many. How could I possibly finish them?"
Jenny looked astonished, but her words revealed her delight.
She was thrilled because Hayden still remembered what he had promised her. It didn't matter whether the prize was five, ten, or two hundred dollars. What mattered was that he remembered.
"Don't worry and drink up. From now on, whatever you want to eat or drink, it will be my treat." With an affectionate look on his face, Hayden stroked Jenny's head.
"You're the best!"
Jenny was pleased. At that, they left with five cups of bubble tea.
When they reached home, those bubble tea cups naturally attracted James and Serena's attention.
"Look at you, having that junk food again. Even after all the times I've told you to quit it, you still won't listen." Serena's face instantly darkened as she glared at Jenny and scolded her.
"Mom, Hayden bought them for me. I didn't ask for them." Without any hesitation, Jenny put the blame on him.
At the Caldwell residence, Hayden often had to take the blame for Jenny. He nodded naturally and beamed. "Yes, I bought them."
However, Serena didn't get angry. Instead, she changed her attitude and looked at Hayden with a smile.
"Oh, why did you spend money on something so useless, Hayden? That brat will do just fine with plain water. These kinds of desserts will only make her sick.
"If you have money, you'd be better off buying some fruits. You're putting a lot of effort into your studies right now, so you need more nourishment."
