"Help you? I'm curious as to how I could possibly help you."

Hayden didn't reach out to accept the check. Instead, he gave Anna a somewhat expectant look.

What could the smartest woman in the Sterling family come up with?

"You don't want what is rightfully yours. But if you don't want it, we'll be in danger. I can help you take back the position of the Sterling family's heir. You won't need to do anything. Is that okay?"

Anna's last three words were very soft. This was her limit.

Still, Hayden appeared icy. He folded his arms and said, "I told you, everything about the Sterling family disgusts me. I don't want it. If you force it on me, I'd hate it even more.

"But if you say that taking back the title will ruin Morgan completely, I'd be more than willing to show up and enjoy the show."

Hayden seemed pleased. He would get to see the Sterling family in distress sooner than expected.

"Can you stop being so childish? What would you gain from that?" As Anna's request was rejected once more, she felt frustrated and scolded him.

"I'm no longer a member of the Sterling family. All I want is to watch from the sidelines. That's what I'd gain. What's wrong with that?" Hayden chuckled, feeling quite pleased. No one could possibly understand how happy he was right now.

"I've misjudged you. Do you think that if you wait for Morgan to grow stronger, he will let you off?" Anna tightened her fists and rebuked him coldly.

"I'm waiting for him," Hayden said nonchalantly.

However, Hayden didn't exactly know what it was. Jenny never found out what Morgan wanted, either.

"I'll protect the Caldwells in my own way." Without giving much explanation, Hayden responded calmly, his voice steady and forceful.

"You're so stubborn, immature, and absurd!" Anna snapped, her breathing quickening in rage.

"Getting angry, Ms. Anna Sterling? Where's your elder sister? This was her idea, wasn't it? Perhaps she didn't dare to confront me, so she sent you?" Hayden asked mockingly.

"This was my idea. It has nothing to do with Julia. You don't have much time to consider. The heir will be announced after the SAT. His grades are good, and they can get him into a leading university.

"As for you, do your best in the exam. If you can't even get accepted into a mediocre university, you'll put me in a tight spot."
