Francis and Morgan were sitting across from each other in the study.
"What's the matter, Dad?" Morgan asked cautiously.
He smiled awkwardly, fearing that Francis would ask him why Hayden had agreed so easily.
However, that wasn't what Francis was thinking. He believed that Hayden would return to the Sterling residence because he couldn't let go of the Sterling family's resources, reputation, and status. As long as he was a part of the Sterling family, he would be able to get everything that he couldn't achieve on his own, along with a promising future.
"There's something that needs to be done in advance. You and your mom should get ready to move into the house," Francis said seriously.
"What? Have you found Charlotte's shares?" Morgan asked, feeling surprised and happy. His eyes glinted with excitement.
"No. Don't think about the shares anymore. She has hidden them too well. It's impossible to find them," Francis replied firmly, shaking his head. He had investigated for so long but still hadn't found any leads, so he had decided to give up.
"What? If we don't get the shares and kick Charlotte out, it would be a shame. That's a lot of money, and that's also part of our preparation to go to the capital."
Morgan looked dissatisfied as he pouted and glanced at Francis.
"I have no choice. Even if we don't get the shares, the most important thing now is to not lose Sterling Group," Francis said coldly, his eyes glinting viciously.
"What? Lose Sterling Group? I don't understand. Why would we lose it?" Morgan was puzzled.
"Hmph!" Francis snorted and couldn't help but clench his fists. He suppressed his anger and walked toward the coffee table to pour himself a cup of coffee.
