Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 462

Inside the car, silence fell once more. A thick, suffocating tension filled the air.

Julia and Anna sat in grim silence, unwilling to let go of their resentment toward Hayden just because of a few words.

Even Charlotte knew she had no real say in this matter. She felt more than just guilt toward Hayden—there was anger, too.

Their current situation was dire. Francis could throw them out at any moment, leaving them with nothing.

And yet, Hayden still chose not to help despite knowing all this.

She was his mother. How could he be so indifferent?

The weight of that thought pressed down on her.

Once again, the car lapsed into silence, a sense of uncertainty looming over them.

Was there still a future left for them?

That afternoon, a sleek luxury car glided into the parking lot of Hayden's company.

Two men stepped out.

They were dressed in impeccably tailored suits, and their presence commanded attention. Their posture was as straight as a pine tree, and their demeanor was striking.

They were the investors from the capital, Wade and Dean.

They carried themselves with effortless elegance, and their expressions were calm and composed. Yet, a chill flickered across their faces when they stepped onto the pavement.

"Now, this is interesting," Wade said with a cold chuckle. "I suppose that's to be expected. How could a small place like Stonybrook possibly understand proper business etiquette?"

Dean sneered. "Exactly. If we were in the capital, someone would have been tripping over themselves to greet us with the utmost flattery by now."

Wade exhaled slowly, his sharp gaze sweeping over the surroundings. Seeing the state of the company only deepened his disdain.
