"No wonder you don't. You have such a sweet little 'sister' living with you. I have to admit that I'm jealous. No blood relation, and yet you still get to live under the same roof with her," Morgan said with a sly grin, his gaze lingering on Jenny. It grew more predatory by the second.
"Have you ever known fear before?" Hayden's voice was as icy as he stepped closer.
"Fear? I don't know what you're talking about, Hayden." Morgan feigned confusion, shaking his head, his face a mask of innocence.
"Let me show you then."
In a flash, Hayden was right in front of Morgan, his eyes now wide with fury. A chilling wave of anger radiated off him.
"W-What are you doing?" Morgan stammered and was momentarily caught off guard. He had expected Hayden to stay passive, to cower under humiliation. But Hayden wasn't backing down.
Without a word, Hayden grabbed Morgan by the collar and slammed him onto the wet ground brutally.
Morgan landed directly in a puddle, soaked from head to toe. The students nearby erupted into hushed murmurs of excitement, some even cheering under their breath.
"Serves him right; now he knows who's boss!"
"Finally! Bullying people at our school, and he thought he'd get away with it?
"It doesn't matter if he's from the Sterling family; our school's hero just put him in his place!"
The crowd buzzed with satisfaction. Hayden's actions were unexpected, but they were nothing short of righteous to everyone watching.
"Are you out of mind? You actually dared to shove me into the puddle!" Morgan's voice trembled with fury as he glared at Hayden, his whole body shaking in anger. He couldn't believe he had ended up drenched like this, being humiliated in front of everyone.
