Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 73

"That's a lot!" James exclaimed.

"They're all from the top universities! You all should discuss this as soon as possible." Sylvia urged them again.

"Hayden, which university do you want to choose?" Serena held the stack of documents, looking lost. She had no idea which one would be best.

"Mom, like I've said before, I have only one goal, which is Brighton University. So, I've declined the offers. I don't want to choose—I'll get into university through SAT," Hayden said firmly.

"What? Are you sure you don't want to reconsider?" Serena asked, feeling a deep sense of regret.

She tried to persuade him, considering how many students would give anything for such an opportunity.

"There's nothing to reconsider. I'm set on my path, and I don't change my mind easily," Hayden replied and shook his head in resolution.

His attitude was firm, as if it were made of steel, and his words made the entire room go silent. Everyone exchanged glances, some with subtle, almost imperceptible twitches at the corners of their mouths.

What arrogance! How old was this kid, yet he was already making such bold statements? His decision seemed almost too absolute.

"Look at him! Look at this boy!" Sylvia exclaimed. "This is a golden opportunity, so why won't you take it? Who knows what will happen during the SAT? You might not get into any universities if you don't perform well!"

Sylvia's tone was earnest, and she was genuinely trying to guide Hayden.

Both James and Serena exchanged troubled looks. They had always loved and supported Hayden, respecting his decisions. But what comforted them so far, was that none of Hayden's choices had let them down.

"Hayden, Ms. Clark is right. The SAT is crucial. If you don't perform well, you might miss out on Brighton—or even struggle with other schools," Serena urged.

"Brighton University is the top university in the nation, and it's way above the usual prestigious schools. Only the best of the best can get in, and it's an incredibly tough path," James added, weighing the pros and cons without outright opposing Hayden's choice.
