Night fell, and the entire sky was blanketed with stars. It looked incredibly stale and suffocating. The surroundings were very quiet as well, save for some miscellaneous sounds that echoed in the air.
At that moment, Francis and Julia returned to the villa after their busy day at work. The moment they stepped foot into the premises, they received news that Victor, who represented Brighton University, came over.
Francis and Julia were immediately overjoyed. Brighton University was the top university in the country, and anyone who came from there was undoubtedly wealthy. There were even some cases where some poor students made it there and went on to become the pillars of the nation.
Long story short, anyone who became a student at Brighton University would become a force to be reckoned with.
Take Anna, for example. She had authority in the Sterling family ever since she studied at Brighton University—despite the fact that she was the youngest child in the family.
Now that one of the professors from Brighton University was here, it went without saying that they had to make sure he received the utmost quality of the Sterling family's hospitality.
"I've asked my chefs to prepare dinner, Mr. Grant. We have a lot of fine wine, on top of imported ingredients. After dinner, let's go to my business club for some recreation. There are a lot of things going on there." Francis was particularly enthusiastic, and he wore a big smile on his face.
He showed Victor the hospitality that he usually reserved for wealthy people and fully intended to keep the latter happy.
"That won't be necessary. I merely waited for you, so I could get intel on Hayden." Victor shook his head firmly. He didn't want to get too involved with the Sterlings.
As a professor at the top university, Victor had seen far too many heads of wealthy families. He dealt with people like Francis on a daily basis and was also aware that things could get muddled if he allowed Francis to get close to him.
