Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 90

Francis, Charlotte, and Lily were very satisfied that they pulled off the plan.

However, Julia and Anna were a little conflicted, and they were both frowning. They thought the family was making Victor stay back for some other reason, but little did they realize that Francis was straight-up tricking Victor and dragging the latter down with them.

"What's going to happen to Hayden if they really swapped out his admission slot?" Anna asked gloomily.

"Huh? He can do whatever he wants. In fact, he can go ahead and die for all I care." Francis swung his hand casually and said coldly in his inebriated state.

"Did I do something wrong? After all, this is Hayden's opportunity. I don't think I should take it." Morgan gritted his teeth, as if he was about to give it up.

"Why wouldn't you take it? The chance is yours. Hayden doesn't deserve to study at Brighton University at all." Lily rolled her eyes. She didn't care if Hayden lived or died—not even one bit.

Julia merely remained quiet and didn't say anything. Although she learned of Morgan's actual identity, she had to pretend she knew nothing if she wanted to keep Charlotte, Anna, and Lily safe. Remaining tight-lipped was the best cover.

"Hayden is…" Anna wanted to say something, but she decided against it. She caught Julia's look, but she eventually decided against it. She knew that the former shared her concern, but it was truly a shame that Hayden wouldn't get the chance to go to university.

"Listen up, kids. Although we did things in a questionable manner this time, all of you are my kids. It's a good thing as long as you guys make it to Brighton University, and it doesn't matter who pulled it off.

"It might've been a lucky break for Hayden to lose his opportunity, but I don't need you to worry about it. He has his own future to tread.

"If Hayden got into Brighton University, it might make our family restless and uneasy." Charlotte shook her head and sighed slightly.

For a moment there, silence hung over the living room, and no one made a peep.
