Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 92

Meanwhile, Julia and Anna remained silent. They exchanged glances before exiting the living room and going to the balcony on the second floor.

Neither of them said a word, but they felt a little upset in their hearts. The atmosphere around them became unusually depressing as well.

"Hayden could've made it into Brighton University, but we didn't stop them." Anna lowered her head helplessly.

"Let's not talk about these things anymore. They're already history. As for the future… It'd be better for Hayden to be a normal person. The further he gets in life, the worse things would become for him." Julia couldn't help but shake her head. She had an unusually foul look on her face.

"Be a normal person? Have you ever wondered what the Sterlings would do when Morgan has graduated?" Anna asked in a grave tone, but there was also a hint of anger in her voice.

"What would they do? The Sterlings would still be the Sterlings, nothing more, nothing less!" Julia said expressionlessly.

"No. Once Dad announces that Morgan will be the future heir, they will be the ones to hold the most power in our family! We may very well be driven out of the house. Have you truly never thought of that?" Anna seemed a little anxious as she looked at Julia.

"What is it? If you don't agree with my actions, why didn't you stop me? Are we not worried about the same things? There's no use arguing about it after the fact. You and I both know very well that you're only telling me these things because you want me to be the first to speak up!

"Anna, we're in different positions, so we'll also have different concerns. I don't care about the future since I'm only concerned about the present. I don't want our family to be separated right now!" Julia said earnestly. She had come completely clean with Anna now.

Neither of them wanted the Sterling family to be separated, but Julia was worried about the present, whereas Anna was concerned about the future.

Julia wanted Hayden to be a normal guy so that he wouldn't become Morgan's enemy in the future. Meanwhile, Anna wanted Hayden to go further in life, and she also hoped that he could be friends with Morgan.

However, they had also thought of an even more terrifying possibility—they just didn't want to mention it.

They feared that Morgan and Francis would bring that woman into their home. If that happened, Charlotte and the three sisters would be driven out of the family.

"Should we tell Hayden about this, Julia?" Anna's gaze was lowered as she spoke slowly. There was a desolate tone in her voice.

"Let's not tell him. It won't change anything, after all." Julia shook her head as she let out a small sigh.
