"I'm not going back to school. I hate Riverside High for expelling you, so I'm not going back there either!" Jenny seemed resolute as she immediately shook her head and spoke.
"Behave, Jenny!" Hayden shook his head, feeling a little exasperated.
This was his problem. If Jenny had gotten herself involved as well, Hayden would feel a little guilty.
"But I'm still mad about it! They had no right to expel you just like that!" Jenny straightened up, revealing the very first rays of her brilliance.
Hayden couldn't help shaking his head again as he smiled helplessly.
Then, he said in a comforting voice, "Don't worry about me. Now that someone from Brighton University is coming, they'll find me soon."
"What happens next?" Jenny stared at Hayden with bewilderment in her huge eyes. She already had a thought in mind, but she still wanted confirmation.
"That Brighton University representative will come straight to me, so I can enroll too!" Hayden explained.
This was something he had been thinking about as well.
He hadn't expected the Brighton University representative to look for him, so it wasn't in his plans at all. However, this surprising turn of events could save him!
Once the Brighton University representative found him, he could enroll in the university based on his double-perfect scores, which no one else had achieved!
"Alright, I trust you!" Jenny let out a sigh, and the corners of her lips turned up a little.
Then, she went off to school.
Since Hayden felt bored, he began tidying his room. It had been a long time since he had last done household chores, and he was bustling about when the doorbell suddenly rang.
After he had opened the door, he saw a middle-aged man standing before him.
"Hello, I'm Victor Grant from Brighton University. You must be Hayden Sterling, right? I'd like to talk to you." Victor had a stern expression on his face as he stared at Hayden.
