"Hey, you made it!" Dominick greeted Nathalie with a warm smile.
Nathalie nodded in response.
Catching the vibe, Dominick took the hint and said, "Alright, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone."
Nathan acknowledged with a nod, signaling Dominick to make an exit.
Once they were alone, Nathalie set a lunch box on Nathan’s desk. Nathan gazed at her with affection, waiting for her to settle. Suddenly, he gently grabbed her hand and pulled her closer into his arms.
"Now that you’re officially my wife, when do we get to celebrate our marriage properly?" Nathan teased.
Nathalie's cheeks flushed with a knowing smile. "I thought having the marriage certificate would calm you down, but it seems you're still in a rush?"
Nathan gave her a puppy-eyed look. "With you being so amazing, I doubt I'll ever feel completely secure."
Nathalie chuckled, "Oh, come on, keep your heart steady. I'm just a regular girl, not some exotic beauty all the guys are after. It's only you who treats me like a treasure."
Nathan’s voice was thick with suggestion. "Since you know how much I adore you, why not trust me completely?"
Confused, Nathalie replied, "Haven’t I already given myself to you?"
Her words weren't just for show; she truly felt safe only with Nathan. Her heart trusted him without question.
Nathan's heart raced with her affirmation. "Really? Well, since you put it that way, I guess I can let go of my hesitations."
In a swift move, Nathan scooped her up and laid her gently on the sofa, leaning in closer.
Realizing his intentions, Nathalie tried to gently push him away, but Nathan’s kisses fell like raindrops, making her heart flutter.
"Nathan."
"Shh, no talking."
Nathan parted her lips with a deep, passionate kiss that left Nathalie feeling dazed. Her wide eyes slowly filled with a warm, dreamy haze.
