Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 527

But that doesn't add up. Didn't Nina warn him that Nathalie doesn't have feelings for Nathan?

Suddenly, an idea sparked in Cameron's mind. He grabbed his phone, and though the screen was cracked, it still worked. He dialed Nina's number.

To his surprise, Nina picked up almost immediately: "What do you want?" Her voice was as frosty as her expression.

Cameron almost pleaded, his tone dripping with flattery: "Nina, Dad wants to see Mom. Can you help me out?"

Nina went silent.

Just when Cameron was about to lose hope, Nina spoke up. "Meet her at Sunshine Café tonight at 10."

Cameron was over the moon. "Alright."

In the study, Nathalie looked at Nathan, puzzled: "Why let him know what we're up to?"

Her question was like a cold splash of water, cooling Nathan's heated emotions.

Nathan eventually stopped what he was doing. He sat up and lit a cigarette, lost in thought.

Nathalie wrapped her arms around him from behind: "Are you upset?"

Nathan replied, "Nathalie, I feel like I'm missing your love."

Nathalie was taken aback; she thought she loved him deeply. She gazed at him in confusion: "Nathan, I really am happy with you."

Nathan forced a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes: "Nathalie, we should have more than just a bond; we should have romance."

Nathalie was bewildered, not quite understanding the distinction between familial love and romantic love.

Nathan gently stroked her hair, smiling: "Familial love means I care about you, worrying if you're fed and warm. Romantic love means I’m in love with you, wanting to be close, feeling jealous. I can't stand you being with other guys."

A light went on for Nathalie: "Oh, so you were jealous of Cameron, huh?"
