Nathan's face was as white as a sheet.

The doctor gave the usual spiel: "Sweetheart, even holding a glass of water can make your arm sore after a while. You've got to learn to let go and forget those unpleasant feelings. Forgiving others can make your life a whole lot easier."

But Nathalie shot back, "Doc, don’t tell someone to be kind unless you’ve walked in their shoes."

The doctor sighed, clearly exasperated with such a stubborn patient. "I'll prescribe you some meds. Take them and see if they help."

Nathalie nodded. "Thanks, doctor."

Lizzy, however, looked at Nathalie with a pout, whining, "Sister—"

Nathalie quickly played along with the doctor: "Doctor, I'll take your advice and work on processing those bad vibes."

The doctor beamed, "Glad to hear it."

As Nathalie left the hospital room, she bumped into Cameron.

Her dark stare bore into him, making Cameron’s heart race with unease.

"Nathalie, I didn’t realize how much his leaving would hit you. I’m sorry... I..." he fumbled.

Nathalie, however, replied casually, "No worries."

Cameron hesitated. "Does that mean you forgive me?"

Nathalie unexpectedly added, "What I’ve lost, I’ll get back from you twice over." Her voice was icy cold.

Cameron couldn’t help but shiver.

Nathalie shot him a disdainful look and walked off.
