Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 703

The man's naturally fair skin had turned ghostly white. He lifted his head suddenly, trying to keep his cool, but his handsome face looked like it had been shot through with holes. He was barely holding it together as he asked, "How's she doing now?"

The officer let out a breath. "No. 13, do you know her?"

"How is she?" he demanded, his teeth clenched, trying not to let his emotions run wild.

"Her injuries aren't too bad, but the doctor said her will to live is really weak. If she pulls through, it's gonna be up to her."

"Weak will to live? What do you mean?"

"After her fiancé was murdered, her mental state really took a dive. She saw a therapist, had some breakdowns at work, and now this... she probably felt like she just couldn't keep going."

His handsome features looked like they were about to crack.

Couldn't keep going?

She couldn't keep going?

This wasn't supposed to happen.

He looked up at the officer. "Why are you telling me all this?"

"You know, we really admire your skills. If you're willing to use them for the country, we can make some concessions."

"I want to see her."

The officer was taken aback by the sudden change.

"So you do know Ashley?"

No. 13 replied, "Set it up quickly. If she doesn’t make it, you can forget about getting anything from me."

"Okay, okay. I'll get right on it."

At the hospital, Nathalie slowly came to.

She was greeted by her father's tired, pained face.

"Vivian, you're all I've got. How could you leave me?"

Nathalie's tears fell like rain.

"I'm sorry, Dad. I just can't see any light ahead."
