Chapter 99 Threaten Layla Successfully
Layla clearly did not expect Avery to dare to resist. The hairstyle she had just made was ruined like that.
She was so mad that she immediately screamed in anger, "Ah! B*tch, what did you do to me? No one has ever dared to treat me like this!"
Avery took two steps back. Layla's entire face was covered in batter, making it hard to see where Avery was. She frantically scratched on the spot.
Sensing the wind, she tried to take a few steps forward, but her batter-covered slippers caused her to trip and fall.
"Layla, I've never been treated like this before, either. You are a pampered princess, but am I not? What gives you the right to act superior over me?"
While Layla was covered in dough, Avery slapped her hard twice and kicked her mercilessly.
"This slap is for my dead child, and this slap is for my failed marriage."
"Ah, I'll kill you! You b*tch! Maids! You idiots, why are you just standing there?"
Being slapped and kicked by Avery, Layla was so enraged that she couldn't speak coherently.
The only maid in the kitchen was already terrified. When the other maids wanted to come and save Layla, Avery grabbed a sharp knife that she had noticed.
"Don't come any closer!"
Layla's face was covered in egg batter, and she couldn't open her eyes. She felt the coldness of the knife against her neck.
"If you move again, I'll kill you!"
Layla had prepared a lot of tricks to torture Avery, but she didn't expect the situation to end so quickly.
Avery suddenly became like a mad dog, and Layla was genuinely afraid that Avery might do something drastic and kill her.
"How can I trust you? You're the type of person who promises something one moment and goes back on your word the next. I might not have such a good opportunity next time."
Did she want another chance?
Layla quickly said, "I'll call and cancel the application now. I'll write a guarantee letter on the spot to transfer the Adams Mansion to you. If you don't believe me, you can immediately have a lawyer come and notarize it."
Avery whispered, "Layla, do you really think I don't have any leverage against you? In the past, I just didn't want to ruin our relationship, but if you dare to provoke me again, I'll expose your affairs with Jacob online!"
