Chapter 118
Rita brought out her phone and the both of us viewed Zara’s room on her phone screen. We saw Zara pacing up and down
the room.
I was expecting her to pick up her phone to make a call, but she did not. We kept on watching for hours, but we got nothing. She was just pacing, sitting and pacing again.
It was frustrating.
I frowned. “I will just call Atlas to check if he has made any progress,” I announced and then went to my room to get my phone.
When I opened my phone, I was greeted by a message from a random number. Curious to see what it was all about, I opened up the message and I froze when I saw what the message was all about.
It read:
HEY MOM, IT’S EMMA. I HAD TO STEAL MY KIDNAPPER’S PHONE TO SEND YOU THIS MESSAGE. I AM ON THE RUN NOW. ATTACHED TO THIS MESSAGE IS MY CURRENT LOCATION. THIS PEOPLE ARE AFTER ME, PLEASE SAVE ME.”
I dashed out of the room and ran to Rita. When I made sure that Zara was still in her room by checking the life video of her room on Rita’s phone, I showed Rita the message.
I dialed Alpha Atlas’s number, but he did not pick up. I did so a few more times, but he still did not pick up his call.
“What will you do now?” Rita asked and I shrugged.
“What else? I am getting my daughter.”
She flashed me a smile. “Then let us go get her.”
EMMA’S POV
I have always heard of rogues so much that, now, I could recognize them at a heartbeat, but this was my first encounter with one in real life. I have always heard of how Rogues tear off the flesh of a fully grown werewolf. I was only six. I had no wolf.
Except a miracle takes place, my flesh might end up being meat for this rogue.
Tears danced down my chin. If only I had ignored that cat and remained in the room like my mother asked me to.
The rogue
clenched his teeth and I clenched my fists. If he wanted to eat me, then I was not letting him do so without a fight.
The Rogue lunged at me and without moving back, I maintained my ground, awaiting the right time to strike. He drew closer and when I was about to dodge an impact, the rogue fell to the ground.
My face turned white. He was shot.
I turned back to see my savior and to my uttermost surprise and dismay, I saw my kidnappers. I was hoping that the ground would open up and swallow me. They were the last people I wanted to save me. Them saving me was like jumping from a frying pan to the fire and to the frying pan again.
Either way, I will still get fried. Just that in the frying pan, it will take longer.
“Emma, we meet again.”

Chapter 118
I peed my pants and they all frowned at me.
“I thought you said you wanted to use the toilet. Why are you here?” The kidnapper who was talking, gestured to his colleagues. “Let’s grab her.”
Just like that, I was back to square one.

No, square zero was the best phrase to use, because I could no longer use the toilet excuse now and they will be more strict with me. I was stuck here and it sucked.
“I know I said I wanted to poo before and then escaped, but this time around, I really want to poop.”
My only hope now was my mother.
I hope she sees the message I sent her and comes to help me.
I wondered what these wolves wanted to do with me. If they wanted me dead, they would have killed me alongside the rogue, but they brought me back here.
Did they want ransom? Perhaps, they had noticed how close I was with the Alpha and felt new would give them some money
to save me.
“What do you want to do with me?” I had to ask. If they wanted ransom, why weren’t they asking me for numbers? And, why are they yet to call anybody?
“We can’t tell you. We underestimated you before, but now, we have seen that you’re smart enough to escape from here and we can’t risk that.”
“If you want money, then you have kidnapped the wrong person, because my mom has nothing to give you. I am the only thing she has and you all have taken me away.”
“Shut up. Else, I’ll waste your life at this very moment.”
I gulped and bowed my head to say a prayer.
“Where is my phone?” The kidnapper whose phone I stole asked and I froze.
I took a deep breath.
There was nothing to be scared about.
After making sure that my message had gone through, I deleted it from his phone and when I was taken back to the car, I quickly dropped it, so when he sees it, he will think he had dropped his phone in the car and not suspect a thing.
“Where is my phone?” He asked again and his colleagues began to lash out at him.
“You’re just too careless with your things. Look for your phone quietly and stop disturbing our peace.”
“Have you checked the car?” His other colleague asked.
“Good idea,” He replied and when he left, I heaved a sigh of relief
In less than five minutes, he returned back, but he was not alone. He came back with an elderly looking she–wolf with two younger she–wolves, One was my age mate and the other looked like she was eleven.
They pushed the two younger she–wolves to where I was and none of them bothered to help the girls up when they fell.
It then dawned on me that they were going to do whatever they wanted to do with me to these girls. I felt sorry for them and for myself too.

I froze when I heard the words of the elderly she–wolf. They wanted to sell me? My little brain was unable to process what I was hearing.
“I’m Emma, what are your names?” I asked the girls.
