Chapter 125
ALPHA ATLAS’S POV
The short exchange between Elaina and Aunt Janice was really strange. Could it be that Janice thought Elaina was Athena.
I looked at Elaina. She actually reminded me of Athena a little, but if she was Athena, I would have known it was her through her smell.
Her smell was not of this pack to begin with and her hair was dark, so she could not be Athena.
I frowned.
Keeping a distance from her was the best thing. Imagine if we had become close and I one day called her Athena because she reminded me of her. She would have gotten hurt.
I looked around. Everyone was catching up and getting to know each other. Even Elaina that was mad at Emma for running here was engaging in the conversation and it was good to see.
They talked about the things that have been occuring in the pack. My mother was given the chance to brag about how she had burned Sebastian down.
And then they moved to Zara.
“Zara?” Uncle Darius looked surprised when they mentioned the name. “Zara is the name of my cousin,” He said.
“Not only one person bears Zara,” Janice pointed out and he shrugged.
“So, you mean to say that she just disappeared into thin air?” Aunt Janice asked and Elaina nodded.
“It happened recently, so a serious search has not begun yet, but I have to find her either by hook or by crook. She kidnapped Emma and she possibly tried to poison me. Who knows what she will do next if she is not found?”
“I agree,” Conri said. “We have to find her. He was smiling sheepishly at her and I frowned because he was my friend and I knew that look very well.
Well, whatever he was thinking should remain in his head, because Elaina was mine.
I clenched my fists at the thought of losing Elaina, to someone else because I was avoiding having something with her. This was just hard for me.
I was lost in thoughts that I did not realize that they had changed the topic and were talking of something else now. They were talking about going to the movies tomorrow. Conri wanted to go, but his parents wanted to catch up with their friends
“Elaina, if you have nothing to do tomorrow, would you mind going to the movies with me.”
I clenched my jaw.
“My parents are catching up with their friends,” He continued. “Alpha Atlas has lots of Alpha duties, because I am still on my leave and only came back here to see Uncle Darius and Aunt Rita.”
“That sounds nice,” Elaina said, smiling.
I gritted my teeth. Why would she smile at an unmated male when she had me? I should be the only male she smiles at.
“It’s a date then,” Conri said and I could not take it anymore. I snapped.
My eyes turned black. I marched to him, held his neck and struck him across the face.

“Atlas,” My father yelled angrily. He walked over to me and pulled me back. My wolf was slowly taking over, so it took a lot for my father to pull me. He eventually did it. He was an Alpha after all.
I was still fuming. I was not satisfied. I felt the need to snap Conn’s head off his body.
“What is wrong with you?” Elaina snapped. “You’re a great Alpha and I appreciate the things you’ve done for me and for people like me, but why do you keep on dulling your shining points by doing things like this. I’m sorry, but you’re making my stay here unbearable as the day passes by.”
My heart fell. Was I really that bad?
I decided to leave the scene to my room.
A few minutes later, I heard a knock on my door and I ignored it without bothering to check who it was.
“Atlas.” It was my mother’s voice. I was still adamant and I remained on my bed without moving a muscle.
“Atlas, I would say this for the last time. Open the door.”
Reluctantly, I walked over to the door and opened it up. She walked into my room and sat on my bed. I joined her. I could not look at her, so I looked down at the bed.
“They hate me now, don’t they?”
“Who?”
