Chapter 13 

RITAS POV 

“Rita Lloyd, report to Sur Martins office.” 

I rolled my eyes when the speakers blasted those words. Alpha Leo was most probably up to his shenanigans again. 

I was trying hard to avoid that blue–eyed Alpha but he kept on ruining my efforts. I quickly grabbed the document that I came to the storage room to carry and headed for the door. 

Before I got to the door, I heard a chicking sound and the footsteps of someone running away. I tried pulling the door open only for me to realize that I was locked in from the outside. 

Panicking. I reached out to my phone and dialed Janice’s number. She was not picking her calls so I resorted to sending her 

a message. 

After a few minutes of pacing up and down the storage room, the door was opened. 

Janice,” I called out, but it was not Janice. It was someone else who probably wanted to get something from the storage room 

“Thank you.” I said regardless, not minding the weird look the she–wolf gave me and dashed out to the room. 

I headed for Sir Martin’s office just in case it was not Alpha Leo sending for her this time around. 

I just saw Taylor with the Alpha in Sir Martin’s office just now. I heard someone tell her friend and I immediately felt a knot in my stomach. 

They were so close. Her tits were practically on his face. Looks like the Alpha has his eyes on Rita’s stepsister too. But, who would blame him? Taylor is hotter.” 

There was a burning sensation on my chest and I felt suffocated But, what was I expecting? That Alpha Leo would have his eyes on only me? He was related to Sebastian after all. And, why should I care? I was not interested in him anyways. 

My chest was hurting and my throat became dry. 

“Ahh! Damn it. Why am I feeling this way?” I turned away from the path to Sir Martins‘ office and headed to the exit instead. 

I drove my car around the pack in circles until it was finally sunset before driving back to Alpha Leo’s mansion. 

I was expecting the great room to be empty, but when I walked in, I saw Alpha, Leo, Sebastian and his parents. 

All through the years we dated. I had met Sebastian’s parents once. He always stopped me from visiting him whenever I wanted to. He, on the other hand, could visit me whenever he wanted, 

Thinking back, I realized that there were signs of how much a real flag Sebastian was, but I was too blind to see it. 

“Kita, you’re finally here.” Sebastian’s mother rushed to her. “Can you please talk Alpha Leo into forgiving Sebastian. I know he has been a jerk to you, but please forgive him.” 

Sebastian’s gaze was on the ground and his father was glaring hard at Alpha Leo. 

“Stop coaxing her into forgiving your son, Alpha Leo hissed. 

“So you don’t want her to? Sebastian’s father asked, visibly annoyed Tm your brother for crying in the illegitimate son of our father, but Tru still your brother Sebastian is my only child and that makes hun your only nephew. Are you seriously going to throw him into the dungeon?”

Chapter 13 

Illegitimate son? So it was true. I let out an exasperated sigh. Cheating must truly run in their blood. I recalled what I heard about Taylor being with Alpha Leo and frowned. Not giving into Alpha Leo’s ‘charms” was the best decision I had ever made.. 

“He attempted to rape a she–wolf, Alpha Leo grunted. 

“This she–wolf was his fated mate. He must have missed her 

1 glared at Sebastian’s father. I saw why Sebastian was a jerk. It was hereditary. 

“He cheated on her and rejected her, What do you mean by “he missed her?” Alpha Leo snarled and I raised my head. impressed at his words. He was still not forgiven for being with my sister though. I planned on leaving this place as soon as I could. I thought of moving in with Janice, but the last thing I wanted was to burden her with my issues so I had to figure out a way to make enough money to get myself an apartment 

Alpha Leo directed his attention to me. “Now tell me, what do you want me to do with Sebastian?” 

I just don’t want him around me, I answered sincerely. Whatever Alpha Leo wanted to do with him was none of my business. “I don’t care if he gets punished or not. I just wish he stays out of my way.” 

Alpha Leo raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure a restraining order is the only thing you want? I can burn him alive if you want.” 

“L—” Sebastian’s father paused, clenching his fists. “Alpha, are you seriously thinking of burning your nephew alive because of a stranger 

If you call Rita a stranger again, I’ll definitely burn your son alive‘ He turned back to me and his gaze softened. My heart. warmed at the sight of his softened gaze. “Are sure a restraining order is the only thing you want?” 

I nodded in affirmation. 

“Very well then” He turned to Sebastian. “You have to apologize to her. Now, you’ll prostrate before her and apologize to her. You will also thank her for sparing your life because she just did. If she wanted your head, I would not have hesitated to give 

it to her.” 

My heart fluttered at his words. 

Why would he say such words openly? I hate how he made my heart dance against my will. 

Sebastian fell down at my feet immediately and apologized. He thanked me until Alpha Leo was satisfied. 

His father glared at me as he walked past me and at that moment, I was grateful that Sebastian and I were history.
