Chapter 19 

RITAS POY 

The world around me became oblivious to me as my lips pressed against his. 

1 draped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. 

He dropped the papers he was holding and wrapped his arms around my waist. What I felt next was electrical. It felt like sparks flowed from his body to every part of my body. 

Every part. 

We finally pulled away from each other and for up to a minute we just stared at each other. 

When I was back to my senses completely, I moved away from him quickly to a far corner of the room. 

Alpha Leo picked up the papers on the ground and waved it at me. “How will you sign it when you’re so far away?” 

My face turned red. 

Before I made a move, Alpha Leo was already in front of me holding out the papers. I took the papers from him, went over to my bed and sat down 

I went through the papers. “Would I have to give you a pup during these six months of my reign as Luna?” I asked. Why else would he want me to be his Luna? Asking a random person to be his Luna for as short as six months for no reason just did 

not make sense 

“You can if you want to. Alpha Leo had a teasing smile on his face. 

I gave him a stem look. “I am serious. Why do you want me to be your Luna for six months? Do you want an heir?” 

Alpha Leo smiled. “You will know why before the six months runs out.” 

“I am not giving you an heir. If that is what you want,” I said bluntly. 

“I won’t bother you to give me a pup. However, the other pack members must not know about the contract. After you become Luna, they will expect pups so we have to share a room 

1 glowered at him. I’m not sharing a room with you. We weren’t sharing a room, but we just kissed. Goddess knows what will happen if we share a room. “Alpha Leo, if making me your Luna is your way of drawing close to me, forget about it. I don’t know what your intentions are. I just want to make it clear to you that I am not interested in getting involved with anybody 

My words hurt him. His face had turned pale immediately after was done talking. I was right. Making me his Luna was his way of trying to get closer to me. 

“A–Alpha Leo, I called out in a shaky voice. “I appreciate your help, but if you are looking for a Luna to love you, I should not be an option.” 

“Do you want to change your mind?” 

“I don’t want to give you false hope. The words were heavy on my mouth, but I had to say them anyway. It felt weird telling an Alpha those words. Shouldn’t it be the other way around, because why should an Alpha fall for me? 

“I need a Luna. There’s an event coming up in two months for Alphas. I have to have a Luna to be qualified to attend,” Alpha Leo said with a straight face and my face flushed.

Chapter 19 

I everted my gaze from–him, “Oh.” 

Of course. Alpha Leo could never like someone like me enough to make me a Luna. Everything made sense now. He did not want me to be his Luna because he liked me. The kiss must have meant nothing to him too. He just wanted to use me as a way of getting into an event. 

I should feel relieved, but I was not. 

My heart immediately felt too heavy for my chest. “That is My voice trailed off. My heart squeezed in pain and I frowned. Stupid heart. What was it expecting the Alpha to say? I looked up at Alpha Leo and feigned a smile. That is good to hear, but I don’t agree with us staying in the same room.” 

He smirked, walked over to me, took the papers from my hand, brought out a pen from his pocket and wrote something on the paper before handing it over to me. 

I read what he wrote and looked up at him. “If you try to seduce me while we are in the room, I can terminate the contract.” Alpha Leo nodded. “If I ever try to get too close, you can walk away. That’s okay, isn’t it?” 

It was not 

I doubted if I would be able to walk away if he tried to come near. That was the reason I was trying to avoid him in the first place. It was hard to resist him. 

I could not tell him this, so I took his pen and signed the papers. I handed the papers and pen back to him. “Now that I have signed it, what next?” 

He sat next to me on
